If Paula Abdul wanted to clear up why she was acting loopy on last night's "Idol," she should have let someone else do the talking. 
Instead, Paula showed up on "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest" this morning and explained how it all went down.
Good luck trying to decipher it.

19. Doesn't she have metal plates and bone spurs in her neck? My husband lost his leg in a motorcycle accident over 20yrs ago and has plates in his arm and thigh... as well as bone spurs on his spine. It is VERY painful. I think Paula has valid pain issues and valid reasons for using pain killers... I do think however that if she is going to work and be on TV she needs to either find some alternative methods of pain relief while doing work and stick to the pills when she is off air or at home, or just recognize that she has a painful disabilty and try channeling her talets in other areas like her QVC stuff or dance instruction.

20. I feel sorry for Paula, she needs help in a MAJOR way. I read in a magazine last week that she would love to adopt a child. Please she needs to take care of herself before bringing a child into the picture.

23. I quess she forgot that last night she already said she thought he sang 2 songs. This is just damage control, you would think by now they would know the last thing Paula should ever do is speak. Does more harm then good everytime.

26. Hey, it's fun watching Paula's behaviour during the show. She's quiet, she's loopy, she's overexcited, she mumbles, get's those spacy looks. Ya never know what's gonna happen. Maybe one day, she'll just strip and run around nekked live on air. You'd regret missing that!

27. Actually.... Paula's more entertaining than the Audition show performers - so, if they want to chnge it up for next year, just put the camera on Paula. I think she probably DID take notes on the dress rehearsal performances and just got confused in her own personal time/space continum.

29. “When I came into the show I had a whole bunch of family and friends … but they had to go to live rehearsal. I was helping my family into rehearsal... I saw Jason Castro on the monitor and I was writing NOTES WHILE helping my family in AT REHEARSAL and I saw only the last 5 minutes of the rehearsal” …. And this was after 22 minutes of commercial time in prep for what would be said on this interview in its entirety ...hmmmm…. I guess Jason is deliberately thrown off between unexpected bad mouthing and then when the poor kid is choked up upon the final critique … you go further to ask if he had a sweet in his mouth??? Seems there is more to this story than meets the eye… seems like AI has been trying to throw Jason under the bus for some time now.
Thank you for getting this up TMZ … at least you seem to onto a big story with the AI debacles ….geez!!!

30. Personally, I think this shows the judges' comments are scripted and that Paula got ahead of herself.She indicated that her comments about the second song were actually about David (Cook?) If this is so, her comments bashed the "second song" but her comments later did nothing but praise David Cook. I think she let the cat out of the bag about comments being scripted.
