31. Come on! The photo was tastefully done, her parents and handlers were right there and viewed the picture before it was printed.
As a parent I would be way more concerned that my 15 yr old child had a couple pictures on Youtube where she was draped across the lap of some teenage boy and another where she was flashing her bra.

The mouse is one of the entertainment worlds most schizophrenic entities. Do not cross the mouse - they are ruthless. If there was no controversy, they'd be happy with the photo's - after all, they had their corporate "chimp" on the set as well - who also signed-off on the session. I have friends who work at Disney - and that is not a warm, fuzzy place to work! Everybody walks around on eggshells. Disney will crucify Ann Leibovitz - she brought bad press to their cash cow, Miley Cyrus. The photos on Miley's MySpace page were much worse - and the little musketeer took them herself!! Bottom line: Annie Leibovitz took the photo's that she was AUTHORIZED to take - Disney OK'd them - you can't un-ring a bell...

33. Miley is doing the same thing 90+% of what Girls her age do; try and figure out how males react to them. There isn't an ice cubes chance in hell Miley would have done any photo shoot if there was not a clear comitment from the photographer to make Miley look sexy. Do you think you can tell a female: act like a little girl who's "95+% physically developed" "has better BMI than most older females" "a butt and boobs you can bounce a quarter on" . Miley is experimenting with acting like a grown up Woman and it's perfectly normal and natural.

36. It's pretty easy to find the truth here. There is video of Billy Ray, Tish, and Noah's exiting the shoot before it was over. If Annie had Billy Ray and Tish's consent, let's see it-either written permission or photographic evidence of their consent.If Disney approved of the shot, let's see their written consent.At 15 Miley cannot legally consent to the photos, so when Annie said that she and Miley discussed and agreed upon the shot,she's engaging in subterfuge, misleading practices, and outright lying. Annie and Vanity Fair should either put up or shut up-and get what they have coming to them.

37. Annie handled it with class, as usual, by not feeding into the stupid American media's neverending uninteresting crap. She is an excellent photographer and artist. I feel sorry she had to work with such talentless hillbilly rubes like the Cyruses. Shouldn't Miley Cyrus be featured in some type of Nascar magazine? I find it unbelievable how they are making such a huge deal out of a picture that is obviously in much better taste than what she wears out on the street. 38. I have some great nude photos of our kids as babies that I am willing to sell to Vanity Fair. There are some well developed 12 year olds in our Connecticut neighborhood who spend time with my daughter. Perhaps Vanity Fair and Ms. Liebowitz could convince them and their parents to allow a nude shoot. As Robert Kuttner has written, everything - EVERYTHING - is for sale in America.

39. Not happy about the way Miley's family has handled this. Ms Annie L was only doing her job and she does an absolutely fabulous one. that is why you chose her in the first place. and they were there. I am disaapointed with their behavior after the controversy. There is nothing wrong with what miley has done. My daughter and her friends saw nothing in it that would make them think otherwise of miley. they still like her. Very very disappointed. I thought upto this point that they had handled their daughter's career very well. By reacting so badly to the public reaction shows a side that is not nice. to me it shows that success is their aim.

I am sorry but Disney and Cyrus's Family have to take responsibility here and stop this all out attack on Annie.I think what happened is that Miley is preparing for crossing over once her teeny booper image is gone and then Disney had a cow, think Jamie Lynn Spears. These young ones need to be just that, young ones and stop trying to grow up before your time. Look at Lindsey Lohan, she's 21 and looks like an old whore because she grew up toooooooooo fast.
These parents need to take a long hard look at what they are doing to their children.

45. The Cyrus' and Disney are full of crap and trying to crawfish their way out of this one. They wanted to remarket daughter dearest by transforming her into a sexual image. The family is in on the entire photo shoot and the selection of the photos.
Those ungrateful hillbillies should thank their lucky stars that someone of Annie's talent would be wasted on them. Vanity Fair should sue them for being full of it.
