At the age of three, Lou suffered an ear infection and lost 80% of his hearing.
Besides starring on "The King of Queens," Lou was also sworn in as a Los Angeles County reserve sheriff's deputy in 2006.

I saw him in San Francisco a few weeks back and he looks great! My wife worked out with him in the hotel gym.
