TMZ has obtained several tips from the Bahamas -- where Mariah, Nick Cannon and several other celebs have arrived on the island and preparations for a significant event are underway -- a wedding, perhaps?

People on the small island of Windermere, where Mariah owns a house, say a boardwalk that could be a makeshift aisle has been erected from her pad to the beach, with workers rigorously raking up all the seaweed on the surrounding area.

If they're getting married, it may be a big deal here ... but our sources say the islanders couldn't care less.

32. If you see what her Nephew wrote, it may have been his wedding. Check out US Weekly's website. He said it was something he wouldn't do for another 25+ years, which could mean renewing his vowels.

Get a clue and stop being ignorant. You do not always look more black and have "that hair". I have two children who are half black and look as white as me and both of them have what an ignorant idiot like you would call white peoples hair. And I am positive beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are half black. Before you make ingnorant comments like this, know the facts.

41. to number 32.... what i would call white people hair?? Black and white people clearly have different hair!! You cannot dispute that. I am sure there are exceptions like your children, however lets face it most of the time they do not look like us. Also, they always end up marrying someone black as well. I see you are very defensive, which tells me you spend alot of time defending your childrens other race. Just rememher that they will most likely ignore the fact that they are white too.
