Uma Faces Stalker -- Inside the Courtroom Now

Uma Thurman is on the witness stand as we type, and we're getting constant updates from inside the courtroom, where she's having to face her creeperrific alleged stalker -- who nixed a plea deal in the case because he wanted to glimpse her again.

She's wearing black pants and a black shirt, wearing little or no makeup and her hair's "tousled." According to our spy, she's "very uncomfortable" up there, speaking very quietly and nervously. Her voice cracked when she talked about her kids.

As for Jack Jordan, her alleged stalker -- he's sitting quietly, with his hands folded in front of his mouth. Uma won't even look at him or in his lawyer's direction.

UPDATE 3:28 ET: That was fast: defense attorney George Vomvolakis didn't have much for Uma, and now she's finished! The only time Jordan looked up at her was right at the very end.

UPDATE 3:02 ET:
Uma put on a lil' makeup and a black jacket -- girl was cold! She just told the court how she was "afraid for her life" when he showed up on the steps of her house.

UPDATE 1:00 ET: Lunchtime -- she may or may not come out, and Jordan's been known to take smoke breaks. So we'll be watching.

UPDATE 12:42 ET: Uma's getting visibly angry reading an email from Weirdo talking about being put into the loony bin -- and Jordan's just slouched, with his head on his right hand. The jury's rapt.

UPDATE 12:21 ET:
It gets creepier: Uma says Jordan made scary claims about her having had an abortion -- not true. She says she didn't want a restraining order because she didn't want to aggravate the situation and because it's "a piece of paper that can be broken."

UPDATE 11:53 ET:
The prosecution is still doing their questioning and they're on a short recess.

UPDATE 11:30 ET: Jack Jordan wanted his chance to see her again, but apparently he's looking straight ahead, and he's keeping his head down a lot too. Uma just said that when she got super-skeeved when she found out that he called her bro, mom, and dad.

UPDATE 11:22 ET:
She's being questioned about an incident in which Jordan tried to get into her trailer on the set of "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" and she can't even look at the ADA who's questioning her. She says she was "completely freaked out" and "felt sick" about the incident.

UPDATE 11:11 ET:
How's this for unbelievably uncomfortable: Uma just read from a creepy Empire State Building postcard that Jordan gave her, and her hands are shaking like mad.

The Justice System could adapt to society's stark new realities without too much effort. After all, isn't the justice system in place to protect law abiding citizens?

17. He hurt Uma. Being stalked is frightening and all consuming. After repeated attempts to stop a atalker and his repeated attempts to be in your face, in your life, in your nightmares- you can't function anymore. He needs to pay, for the time he's stolen from her. Hours and days and nights of fear. p.s. stalking is a felony. Hang in there Uma. The law doesn't take this abuse lightly.

18. In all criminal prosecutions the accused shall enjoy the right … to be confronted with the witnesses against him..right or wrong...he has the right under the Constitution

19. According to the NY Daily News - "Jack Jordan put the kibosh on the plea bargain because he doesn't want a criminal record - not because he doesn't want help, his lawyer said."

20. And the constitution can and has been amended folks. As society evolves, the rules must evolve as well. The safety of the innocent SHOULD be first and foremost. What if the guy had raped her? Should she STILL be forced to sit in a room and face the man that forced her to do something she wasn't willing to do? What if it was your child that had been raped or stalked by an older man who most likely wanted to rape your innocent 10 year old???? Should they STILL be subjected to the 'face your accuser' where the victim will be INTIMIDATED by the accused, or at the very least made to feel extremely uncomfortable being in the vicinity of such a person?
Uma may not have been raped, but she is visibly disturbed by his presence, so essentially, it's the same thing.

Questor, I pray YOU never get raped, or your daughter for that matter. Spare you the pain and anquish that inevitably ensues, although it quite possibly would finally open your eyes to the whole issue here to begin with.

21. What's the difference if you face your accusers virtually? That seems to be how most accepted communication is done these days anyway. Actually sitting in a courtroom may eventually become the equivalent of snail mail. Due to sheer volume, 'facing your accusers' may eventually take on a new face, for safety and to expedite. Who knows. All I know is she has to go and sit in a room with him due to his actions, and that just doesn't seem right somehow.

22. Questor always has some very good points, even if I disagree with some of them. He obviously disapproves of these types, but hasn't thought about his own daughter having to face them. He's dead right about having to face your accuser currently.
I'm just not sure the redneck solution he offers would keep him out of jail himself. I enjoy many of Questor's comments.
