31. This whole thing was orchestrated by PR people to get Miley more publicity. Although, I thought she was doing fine without this. After all, her 3-D video concert took in about twice as much money than DIsney predicted. I think they're trying to milk an older audience with these pix.

32. i just looked at the picture. it is really beautiful as well as artistic. it reminds me of the classical era of art if it could have been captured by photograph instead of sculpture.

anyone who thinks it is sexual is MESSED UP. granted, she could have had her back covered up a little more. but it is in no way inapropriate or smutty.

34. While I don't think it's kiddie "porn", I think the pic is totally inappropriate for her age and the image she's been trying to portray. Artistic? Give me a break. Call it what it is please...a publicity stunt. Everyone involved gets (more) instant recognition (good/bad) and makes $ off of it. I'll never believe that Miley was tricked into this. Dad was there. Blame him.

The shot with Dad is just weird and kinda creepy. Teenage girls don't pose like that with their father! That's more of a pic you'd expect to see with a gf/bf, husband/wife. Seriously, it's time for him to step out of the spotlight and be a father and not a best friend. He had his 15 min and his one hit wonder years ago.

Was it smutty? No. Was it artistic? Yes. Was it appropriate for a 15 year old in a national magazine? Abso-F-ing-lutely NOT!!!!

And Ms Liebovitz damn well knew that! Why else would she have waited until AFTER Mom & Dad left the shot to do it? She knew it crossed the line and did it anyway for her own selfish reasons.

Just goes to show Billy Ray and Mom: you can't phone it in with a 15 year old. You have to do the job yourself. Stay on top of this Billy Ray!

People will interpret the photos the way they want to interpret them. The truth is that you saw more in a bathing suit in a 60's Gidget movie. I'm sure the naysayers believe that the Flying Nun was really an exhibitionist who just wanted people to sneak a look up her habit while she was up flying around.

40. Why is all the blame put on Annie L? She's a photog, that's her job to try to make a pic interesting to get attention. Here is where the blame should go. Parents.,,,,,.She's 15, right, this should have been nixed by her DAD (if he had any class) That's why there are parents, a 15 year old and a photog should not make that decision. The news media shows a shot of Miley and Billy Ray, her sitting on his lap, his arms wrapped around her and kissing her on her face and head. Now that is a sick shot, makes my toes curl, looks like the opening of a porn film. Yes I'm all for loving your children but that shot is repulsive. Again, if the family had any class, they would have said no to that shot of the bare back with the pouty lips and a sheet. Billy Ray is a has been, actually never made it for more than a few months on his own (is this one of the kids he abandoned many years ago?) Why not put her out there (like a pimp) actually thats exactly what he's doing. Lets exploit the gravey train Billy.
