Forrest Gump Supports Wapner, Obama

Tom Hanks wants Barack Obama to be Prez, and it could be one of the most effective celeb endorsements so far.

Hanks, who put his homemade video up on his MySpace page, begins by saying, "I'm Tom Hanks and I want Barack Obama to be the next President of our country. As an official celebrity, I know my endorsement has just made your mind up for you."

Hanks then gets serious, acknowledging both candidates have screwed up and associated with the wrong people, including relatives. Could Tommy boy really be saying that about Bill?

Watch, then cast your vote!

106. Tom is a wise man. Those of you who think not and feel Obama is a Pres-Risk because of his Rev., can you explain the motives of Hill & McCain??? His "spiritual advisor" says Katrina happened due to homosexuality in LA. And Hill is a lying ass feminist who can't match wits with anyone but Alzheimer's Ridden McCain.

Obama do your thing baby!

107. It is very heartening to see the anti-obama people are posting thoughts that are illiterate and racist and sound like they are 7 years old (my guess many of these comments are from the same person with multiple screen names). I know they would never have voted for Obama anyway and I'm happy to report that Obama is still doing very well in spite of you - I'd rather be in the company of hanks than a a racist pig - happy to be on the correct side, just happy.

have a nice day :)

108. Why didn't TMZ give us the options of "neither"?

109. This takes ex post facto method acting to a whole new level--does Hanks really need to BE FORREST GUMP at this point? Is there a sequel in the works??

Dude, life is like a box of Kool Aid!

Dim wit arse.

110. Actually you are wrong. I considered him originally. The fact that he will not salute the Flag, the fact that his wife if FINALLY proud to be an American. And the list goes on. No, I don't think so. I also love they way people throw out that racist card, makes me laugh.

111. Correction... My response [107, 1st paragraph with copied comment from the lady] ] was to the Posted at 4:29PM on May 5th 2008 by lady. That second paragraph was her words not mine. I would hate to be thought so elementary as to make her statement.

113. It's funny if you are against Obama these liberals say you are racist. But most people with a brain are just against higher taxes, bigger government, amnesty for ILLEGALS, making deals with terrorist, ,etc.... Look into what Obama really stands for and what he is not saying. And tell me if he was white would you still be behind him?

114. Tom hanks has always been able to entertain me on the screen and now I know he is an intelligent man. Obama is change, our governing body has needed a man like him for a long time. As for the other comments on this blog, every one is entitled to their opinion but as my grandfather says empty barrels make the most noise. I'm with Tom, Obama for president, the country will certainly be better for it!

115. I have lost all respect for Mr. Hanks for his decision to go with Obama, who does not know what truth is. Mr. Hanks is
a good actor and he should endorse that and not the presidential candidate. Just because you are an actor does
not mean you make good judgement in the political arena. He joins the ranks of Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon,
Barbra Streisand as ultra libral and they need to "shut up". They are who are destroying this country, not Prez Bush.
