Lets Get This Party Started
Brit Brings In the Po-Po for Sis' Shower

It was pretty much just like any other baby shower: a bunch of women, gifts, catered eats –- oh, and sheriff's deputies posted at the gate.

That's how Jamie Lynn Spears got showered Saturday in Kentwood, reports People, which also says there were paps in choppers overhead. There were about 30 guests invited, and Jamie Lynn "opened every gift" from them, sitting in a circle with everyone else.

Back in March, J-L had registered for stuff at Babies "R" Us.

Rocket on Mindy Mac –- "Utterly False"

Roger Clemens is either the greatest parser of accusation since Bill Clinton or he's digging himself a deep, perjury-filled hole.

In the Houston Chronicle, Clemens says he has "apologized" to his family for his mistakes – but he wouldn't say what he was sorry for. At the same time, he also says that his relationship with countrymess Mindy McCready has been "twisted and distorted far beyond reality" and is "utterly false."

Mindy said last week that she couldn't refute any of the public reporting on their relationship.

Taylor Hicks – Archuleta's the Next Wayne Newton

David's dad is not going to like this: Ex-"Idol" champ Taylor Hicks says that David Archuleta reminds him of a young Wayne Newton. As in "Danke Schoen" Wayne Newton.

Hicks –- whose career path has had about the same trajectory as a lead-filled balloon since he was on "Idol" – tells the Louisville Courier-Journal that David A. is "a young entertainer" and says there could be "ample opportunities" for him.

Taylor says he will be putting out a DVD of his pre-"Idol" performances and will be doing tours in Asia and Italy.

Party Favors: Gayle Says O and Ray Are OK ... "Idols" Get "Love" in Vegas ... Hasselbeck Embraces Her Big Bottom

Oprah BFF Gayle King says that there's no feud between O and protégé Rachael Ray. "I know that's not true," said King on Ray's TV show last week. ... The "AI" top four – mobbed in the airport -- got the royal treatment from Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman and then went to hear "Love," the Beatles-Cirque du Soleil mashup, says Vegas Confidential. ... Joy Behar might call her a skinny white bitch, but Elisabeth Hasselbeck tells Fitness magazine she's come to terms with what she thinks is her big butt: "I've got some curves, I've got a bubble butt, but I don't mind."

34. LMAO! Who cares what he looked like at the Kentucky Derby! The FACT is, he's an artist who was DROPPED because his CD SUCKED! He can hang out at sporting events or on the golf course all he wants, but it sure isn't going to his contract back. Wait, I forgot that he wanted to be DROPPED, right??? Because now he's free to make the music he always wanted to! (can you tell I've heard this EXCUSE 1000000000000000000000 times! ) Let's get to some reality.,..Taylor Hicks DID make the music he wanted to, and his fans said he did up until the time he was DROPPED, then "suddenly" their whole story changed, and it became that he was forced to record this crappy music. The TRUTH is, Taylor doesn't have the talent to be anything more than a wedding singer/mall singer/cruise ship singer/karaoke singer, and that''s all he'll ever be!

35. Taylor watched and cheered as Eight Belles was whipped mercilessly so that she could make money for her owner's.
I think taylor should rethink the appearances he makes, and what image these appearances create for him.
Animal crulety is never a good thing to be associated with. Next time he might show up at PitBulls Fight to the Finish as a guest celebrity. Poor choice. Not my idol anymore.

36. I used to love Taylor. I went to six concerts, and bought every CD, old and new, and attended his book signing, plus bought two copies of his book. I was a member of alot of his fanboards, and defended him during the scandal that followed him in February (MFOYA). I was one of his biggest fans. I am not a Soul Patroller, nor am I an obseesive, overly invested fan. I watched the Derby to see if all the horses made it through. i cringed as Eight Belles was beaten severly with the crop so that she may catch Big Brown. I gasped a sigh of relief as all the horses came across the line, unscsthed. I cried out in pain as news of Eigh Belles collapse was told. I seethed to watch Big Brown and his jockey walk on tot he winner's circle, and I felt dismayed as the owner's of Big Brown cheered and celebrated as Eight Belles was given an injection to end her life. I did not know that taylor was in attendance at the event. I cursed everyone there, all the spectators, the owners, trainers, jockeys, all the clebrities, the fans who cheered, the people making money off of the event through sales of cigars and alcohol, and every other vice that could be had for the almighty dollar. I cursed them all, since it is the ultimate sin to put a harmless creature at risk. It is senseless and selfish, and those who support horse gambling are of the lowest life forms, next to pedophiles and murderers. It is not the choice of these animals to run at those speeds, beyond their limits, beyond the limits of what is natural and healthy. For everyone, including our revered American Idol, Mr. Taylor Hicks, to attend, support, and cheer on this type of sport for pleasure and for gain is deplorable. A beautiful animal was killed on that track, in front of millions of people, after she raced her heart out, literally. To think that taylor would be involved in this kind of venue, with all of his so-called "soul" and his "kind" ways, and "gentle" spirit...I just can't believe he WAS there, and he appeared to revel in all of it, every vice there was. Pity for him. He is so desparate for appearaqnces that he took this "gig." He thought it would be good to get his face out there, too bad he didn't think that he was about to put himself in front of cameras as they record for all of history that he supports animal cruelty. Shame on him. He is not my idol anymore, he lost not one, but five fans in my family. Bad. Bad. Bad.

37. Does anyone else notice that TH's fanbase is made up mostly of much older women, in their 50's or 60's even?
How old is this guy anyways? He looks older than my dad and I'm 33. lol It's a shame really that he has been disgraced this way, then to disgrace himself on top of it....pity.
