Chris Brown's Bodyguards Beat Down Photog?

A photographer for a Florida newspaper claims he was pummeled and robbed last night by R&B singer Chis Brown's bodyguards.

The photog, Luis Santana, was at a lounge in St. Petersburg, FL., where Brown was accompanied by Rihanna, and was having a private birthday party. Santana was told by the venue's security that he could take photographs outside, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

He claims when he snapped Chris Brown in an SUV, Brown's bodyguards chased him and forced him to the ground. One guard put his knee on Santana's jaw, and took his $3,000 camera.

Police are investigating. Chris Brown rep was not immediately available for comment.

33. People... READ the article. The papp here was told he COULD take his picture OUTSIDE the club.... and he so did that when Chris got in his SUV... unless the SUV was inside the club.. and I sincerely doubt that.

Regardless if you people like the papp's or not, at least this one repected the clubs wishes. So those of you who said he still took the picture even after he was told no... you are wrong.

41. I know the photographer and he IS ALWAYS respectful and plays by the rules. I belive the bodyguards stepped over the line and should be fired and held liable for their actions. This is a free country and they were out in a public place in which Mr. Santana had permission to take pictures. He does not crowd the subjects and does NOT chase them down.

42. I have been to this club before and don't know why they were even there. Its a hole in the wall and an unsafe environment. The bouncers there are un-professional and poorly trained. I have seen them watch people get the crap beat out of them right on their doorstep and not do anything about it because they don't want to get in trouble!

As a native Washingtonian (yes we claim the entire tri-state get over it!), I'll support Chris at this time The papp was well within his rights when he snapped the photo however, we are assuming (you know what that makes you), that Chris ordered this action. It may have been his bodyguard's natural reaction to this type of thing. It doesn't excuse the reaction but it does take the onerous off Chris. Folks, let's think before we speak and get all the facts first.
