48. That lightning storm wasn't just occurring by coincidence, it was caused by the eruption. Rising volcanic ash commonly causes lightning. Your nerdy science lesson for today!

52. I am Chilean and I must say that the picture is totally real, it's very sad that product of the eruption of the volcano the entire population of chaiten was evacuated, this has been a natural disaster of immense proportions where many animals and native vegetation will die.
My support to the people of Chaiten who are suffering this situation

53. It's not during a lighting storm. Well not exactly anyway. The volcano's eruption creates electrical charges in the atmosphere

54. it ISNT nice, thousands of people had to leave their homes because the ashes of the volcano are risky for the health. so its definetly not nice.
