Yes it is about race . . . . thus we have REV Al Sharpton. Now I dont agree with alot that REV Sharpton says or does, I do love his effort to make sure Black people are treated equally. With that being said, REV Sharpton is blaming "police offficers" not "black or white" He isn't protesting because a white officer was involved, he is protesting because a black person's civil rights were violated.
For those of you who dont see the injustice here, obviously have never been pulled over for DWB. In my 34 years, I have had a gun put to my head twice by HPD (Houston Police Dept). The first time for having 4 passeners, the second for having my music too load. Some police officers DO behave as if they are aabove the law . . . .I see it time and time again. This young man did not deserve to die this way.

Me personally, I enjoy load music, hevy bass, and vocal clarity. I was pulled over at 7:00 p.m. Pulling me over was not the problem . . . . the problem was the gun to my head. Aside from the gun being pointed at me, I was given a "disturbing the peace" citation and a "no sound amlification permit" ticket. Are you serious? However, I from Houston where White, Mexican, and Asian motorists play their music just as loud (if not louder) . So to answer your question, I dont know why Black people play their music loud.

Well, I don't "Know for sure" 100% of the time.. but when I do hear the car, I'm always one to take notice, and around here, it's usually the same cars, so I'm familiar with them and the people driving them. Some I'm even 'More' familiar with, cause they'll stop and get out to talk to one of their friends, and leave the car on with the music BLASTING.. and yes, again, it's usually in the Super Early Morning hours. So that's how I know.. at least about these guys. And yes, they all happen to be Black.. although, I think one might be a Haitian Immigrant, from his Accent.

I was channel surfing one night and i came across the old tv show The Jeffersons and i was amazed at whet the blacks on that show were saying. The character that played George Jefferson called another black man the n word because the guy made a move on Georges wife and that n word now is big trouble if a white person says it.
