80. As you can see, the first word that Jason says begins with his bottom lip behind his teeth. That makes a labioDENTAL fricative, which are the sounds 'v' and 'f', etc. If he had been pronouncing a 'd' then it would have been a different place of pronunciation. The 'd' sound is pronounced not with the bottom lip behind the upper teeth, but instead with the tongue on the roof of the mouth. Jason is clearly saying 'vote, vote'.

86. I think Jason has an appealing voice and is very good looking. BUT, the hair is awful. (The dreadlocks looked like long BM's.) I think that's why he wasn't voted to stay on. The same with Carly - beautiful face, great voice but the tattoo from her shoulder to her wrist was awful. Her husband even has tattoo's on his face. Ugh!! Some contestants need to pay more attention to their appearance. I started watching American Idol for the first time this year, a few weeks after it started. I became addicted to it. I won't watch it next year - I don't want to become addicted to it again. I liked Michael Johns the best. And, I think Brooke should have been a finalist.
