54. TO ALL LONG ISLAND MOTHERS READING THIS: Send an email to info@minglingmoms.com and let them know what an embarrasment it is to the rest of us by giving Dina Lohan the Mom of the Year award. Being a mom is more than just giving birth, it is the unconditional love for your children that you instill every day to have them become good model citizens, children with morals, and judgement to do the right thing, make the right choices. Can you show me any evidence that Dina Lohan has done that? Children learn from what they see and thei role models should be their parents. I guess the Lohan children have seen a lot! Yes Dina, you have really guided them in the right direction, 3 rehad stints, DUI's, drug possesion, this list goes on & on. She needs to take her head out of denial and really face reality, no not the kind she is going to put on TV. It is sad that her drive for her childrens success is based on keeping her status in the community and the money in her pocket.

59. Hey...didn't Amy Fisher get this award last year? Long Island is known world over for their stellar citizens! If this SKANK is what they consider worthy of an award, then they must really be hard up. Didn't her spawn drink when underage, wreck several cars, steal a car and chase down another mom, run over the guy's who car she stole's foot, get caught with coke in the pocket of a pair of pants she claimed weren't hers (which makes sense now because apparently she often borrows things like mink coats and entire closets full of clothes when attending parties), kidnap several people and take them on a wild high-speed ride, spent MONTHS in rehab, and is now in a relationsip with a known lesbian while back clubbing til the wee hours??? I know that this behavior can only be the result of good parenting. Good luck Ali, you will need it.

You are absolutely right about all thoses things, the problem here is denial. Dina has constantly said her daughter is "mis-understood" That must be some pretty big misunderstandings, just like she lied about being a Radio City Rockette. But with all due respect please don't label all Long Island citizens for her actions or some of the other dubious characters we had the misfortune of having live on Long Island. I am a mom who left a high paying job to be with my girls as they grow to make sure they don't end up like the Lohans, I and my children volunteer our time in soup kitchens feeding the homeless, involved in charitable work to help children with cancer, sponsor less fortunate families during the holiday's and raise money to send kids to summer camp. Long Island is a big place and unfortunately we have some people who just think they are better than others and feel it is their inherant right to be a$$ holes.
