Is Suri Too Old to Hit the Bottle?

Maybe it's what LRH prescribes, but Suri Cruise is too old to be drinking from a bottle, say doctors – medical doctors.

Suri was spotted yesterday slurping a bottle as she and Scientolomom Katie Holmes strolled Madison Avenue, but Usmagazine.com talked to some pediatricians who say that the two-year-old should've been drinking from a sippy cup already. Most babies are weaned off a bottle by 18 months.

Given her parents' insistence on keeping her under the stairs – this could explain a lot.

No, she's not potty trained either and she's nearly 4 years old. Why? Because Scientologists don't believe that kids are kids, they think they are small adults and they don't tell them what they can and can't do as it would upset them. Un-frigging-believable.

34. she is way too old to be sucking on a bottle . i was shocked last yr when i saw pics of her last yr after her first b day sucking on one.. i have 2 kids 6 and 2 the day they turned one was the last day they saw a bottle.. i had them start drinking from straws, cups, sippie's very early ages my 6 yr old was taking big boy drinks from a glass at 3 months. if you start training them early the bottle is forgotten quickly. my nephew quit using a bottle at 10 months which i dont agree with but im not his mom. i think they give in to suri so she wont cry and whine .. they make sippie cups that dont leak

36. I drank out of a bottle til I was 6, and I'm fine...no emotional scars here or screwed up teeth here.

IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL. Some babies BREAST FEED until they're two...and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

She's such a beautiful little girl!

37. Scientologists are taught never to say "no" to their children, and this is likely the reason little Suri is allowed to continue to use her bottle. I suspect she will be late at most other milestones for the same reason (ie: potty training, sharing, etc.)

There is no medical reason that a child her age should be sucking on the nipple of a bottle when their oral motor development is more than adequate to achieve drinking from a cup, and further, there can be negative oral motor consequences to using a bottle at that age, not to mention that children who are allowed to prolong bottle feeding and the use of binkies beyond that which is considered a normal age, can also have delayed speech or associated speech issues.

Get Suri off the bottle!

39. She is definately too old to be sucking on a bottle every time we see her. Also, milk in it? In my opinion, no child of that age needs to be 'eating' all day long, or in public. No wonder they grow up without any manners. I confess to resorting to a bottle occasionally in public while my boys were learning the finer points of a sippy cup. Sometimes the sucking quiets them, but I only used water after they started getting teeth.

Then again with a robot mother and a closet homosexual dad, maybe they should let her have it until she graduates to beer. Of course, we all know the real reason is that Katie can't have a little dribble spill on her $9,000 frock.

43. I just watched the link to Rachel Ray's show where Leah Rimini and her husband were on and it's true. They really do give their almost 4 yr. old daughter up to 8 bottles a night! They also never tell her no, they don't want to upset her. God help them, or should I say L.Ron Hubbard help them, when she get's older. They are going to have one hellacious battle on their hands when they try to keep her safe from herself. The poor child is alread well on her way to obesity. That's sad in itself. It's really foreign to me to hear parents say they can't say no to a child. They're abdicating their roles and responsibilities as adults and parents. Pathetic. Their daughter is also going to be one obnoxious human being. Glad they don't live around me and my kids don't have to get along with her. They'd kick her butt if her attitude was that spoiled.

44. The bottle is ridiculous!! She is way too old to be carrying that thing around. Her parents are lazy and don't want to take the time to teach her to use a cup. My daughter has the same b-day as cute little Suri and hasn't had a bottle in over a year. Will she still be in diapers at five???
