Jason Castro: Lyrically Challenged

The trainwreck that is Jason Castro finally derailed for good last night when he completely effed up a line of "Mr. Tambourine Man" -- and just mumbled along instead.

And you thought Bob Dylan was tough to understand.

16. Aww I really liked him. I loved the songs he did last night (then again I'm a huge fan of Bob Marley and love the song "Mr. Tambourine man").. and atleast he forgot the words tastefully instead of STOPPING AND STARTING OVER like Brooke did.. I don't think he'll go home. Brooke didn't go home after she forgot her words (and very distastefully I might add), and Jason has a MUCH bigger fan base than Brooke did. I highly doubt he'll go home.. Syesha will leave tonight.

17. GOD HE SUCKS!!! If I hear one of his songs on the radio, I'll realize it's a HUGE mistake........I'm having a nightmare.........or both!! Then I will promptly smash my radio and NEVER listen to music again!!

19. jason has an unique sound to his voice, yes, but he clearly is lazy and not appreciative of the break he was given. He lacks real talent and motivation while the others are putting their all into it. it's too bad he didn't go home sooner so someone else could have stayed longer. jason's biggest mistake is he is thinking now he will just go on to bigger things like so many other idols, but, truth be told, he showed himself to america and aside from a few teenage girls, he has no appeal. i think it's really bye bye jason.

20. Just my opinion...I'm soooo disapointed in his performance lately. I think he does have unique talent, and can sing, but
to me, it seems that lately (last couple of shows or so), he is deliberately trying to screw up. He doesn't even seem that upset when he does. Is he afraid of making it to real stardom? I don't know, and I could be wrong...just my gut feelings.

Such ashame though, because he has the whole package. I hope he is not afraid, or too lazy, because if so, then it would be best he left the show. I hate to say that, because I really like him. He has such a nice personality and is really cute, but the winner will have to have enough motivation and stamina to do a lot of tours and concerts and promo deals once they win AI.

If it is fear he is experiencing all of a sudden, I hope he gets over it quick. He may not be the best to win AI, but he can go big with record and concert deals anyway, if he frees his mind of whatever is holding him back.

Sorry Jason (if you read this). Many people love ya!!! but you will not win big this way! GET IT TOGETHER MAN, AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!!!

He just acts like he feels he is not worthy enough or something, and that would be a BIG mistake on his part.

From a Jason fan!!!

21. You know what, the sad thing is, he probably won't go home because of the little teeny boppers that go ga-ga over him. He should've already been kicked off weeks ago. He sings the same lame way every week, no range at all. This is SINGING COMPETITION, isn't it?? It's time to go, he's no American Idol that's for sure!

22. He "effed up a line" ????

I'll teach you the words, give me a call Jason!! :-)

24. To #15....I THINK YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD...regarding about the 'big business' mind in all of this, and the pressure on him.

Maybe too, he already feels defeated by Cook and others...so he all of a sudden stopped trying so hard? And maybe too, he just doesn't do well in competitions? I know that I don't like competition. I like to do what I do, but without the competition. I work well under pressure, but not under competition....I bomb out in competitions. I get too afraid all of a sudden.

Hope Jason goes on after the show to do well, even if he doesn't win AI.

25. Yeah, but you know what #21? It is all those teeny boppers who will spend money to buy his CD's and see him in concert. MONEY TALKS!

29. I agree with those who think Jason tanked on purpose. I hadn't seen his comments in the Dallas paper and now it makes sense. I started to wonder last week because his reaction to the criticism was different (as if he didn't care, rather than seeming to get tears in his eyes as was his norm). His voice cracked a lot on the first song last night and I had a feeling he "forgot" the words on purpose in the second song.

Oh well. I had him pegged as a one-hit wonder in the making anyway.

30. It saddens me that people are so hateful about this young man. He is one of the nicest kids you will ever meet. He doesnt smoke weed and he really Loves the LORD!
