The 48-year-old former child star resurfaced at a Mother's Day event in L.A. on Tuesday, looking rosy.
Mackenzie is the daughter of Mamas and the Papas singer John Phillips and the half-sister of Chynna and Bijou Phillips.
In 1980, Mackenzie was fired from "One Day at a Time" and went to rehab. She returned to the series a year later. In 1983, one of the show's producers asked Phillips to take a drug test, but she refused and once again left the series. Mackenzie has been clean and sober since 1992 -- until August 27, 2008 when she was busted at LAX with heroin and cocaine.

I think she is back on tv playing a mom on some disney channel show. If I'm wrong, she has a twin on tv.
#13- I think she does look like Carol Burnett.Mackenzie looks good. She's been through quite a lot, wishing her the best!
Looks like she didn't fall for the plastic surgery epidemic...good for her.
Don't believe everything 'ol Phillips says about her being clean and sober...
#20, she had a role on the Disney series "So Weird," although I think it's now just in reruns (it started in 1999)
yeah, do these people think they're too famous to frickin' brush their hair and wash their faces, or what? 'cause they're not.
The fact she came from such a screwed up upbringing and what she went through, it is amazing she is alive.
Keep on keeping Mac! Peace and happiness to you and yours.
Ok; so she looks older. Big deal. She IS older. I actually like her hair better now: it's more natural-looking than that awful feathered hair from the late '70s / early '80s.
Correction: Mackenzie claims she's been clean and sober since 1992.
How many teeth are left in her mouth? Just wondering.
Her father was a neglectful parent, but the family courts seldom target rich white people. She could have benefitted from court intervention when she was a minor. I blame John Phillips.
If anyone needed proof that living in the fast lane ages you, it's in this picture of MacKenzie. Some of these young stars following in MacKenzie's path in the fast lane should be forced to look at this.
Her looks are a sad commentary on how years of drug abuse and chain smoking will age a person. However, it's commendable that she's been able to stay clean. Good for her.
