229. I think something that has gotten lost in all of the posts is the fact that Miss Walters wrote a book about her life, and as such she had every right to include any and all things that have had a strong impact on her life as she had every right too. After all it is HER LIFE !
The things she has said in interviews about Rosie or Star has been said in a very kind way, and please don't put the woman out to pasture yet, she opened so many doors for women in broadcasting we all should thank her.

She lied to all of us about her weight loss, thinking that we were all fools enough to believe she lost all that blubber that fast by diet and working out. Everyone that ever saw her before and after could tell, without a doubt, that she had the surgery done. She couldn't tell the truth if she was paid to. No wonder her husband dumped her fat butt.
Barbara Walters didn't tell us anything about her that we didn't already know, it was just a matter of time.
As far as Barbara's affair, I am sure she did her homework before she told that tale.

240. How do ANY Of you know Barbara has hurt this man's family??? Has anyone from his family come forth against Barbara? Nope. Stop speaking for his family. Obviously they know about this affair, as it happened 30 some odd years ago. Listen, I'm no big Babs fan, but I think what she put out there took guts. Do I agree with her choice to have an affair with a married man? Of COURSE NOT! But am I going to crucify her for being honest in her memoirs? No. I don't care how she got where she is, be it by stepping on people's toes, or sleeping with them, she has opened up some doors for the women of this country to the media world.
People should try not to be so judgmental about something she chose to do. If you had lived a life that was full of fame, you'd be writing your memoirs too. And if you could have what she has (fame and fortune), I know a MAJORITY Of you all would be doing what they could to get it. I don't understand how everyone here can take this honesty and turn it all around and be so "holier than thou". Give me a break. NO ONE Here is innocent enough to judge her. We've all made bad choices in life. No matter what it has to do with. It was our choice, and it was her choice to come forward about her life.
