In the '70s, Linda Lavin played widowed Mel's Diner waitress Alice Hyatt on the TV series "Alice." Guess what she looks like now!

17. One of the greatest things in life is to live to be old. One of the saddest is to not.

18. I watched "Alice" every week, and never missed an episode! It was one of the best shows on TV at that time, and grew so popular as the years went by and Alice and the supporting characters began to evolve. It wasn't just a bunch of waitors,
watiresses and cooks.... It was now about the character's personal lives, struggles and everyday crap they had to deal with
Linda Lavin became a household name, playing the character of "Alice....." Does anyone remember the kid who played the part of Alice's son? He is the brother of Nancy McKeon, whom played Jo on "The Facts of Life." I think his name was Phillip McKeon. He was getting really popular during the latter years of Alice, and then after the show ended he just faded away.. Seeing Linda Lavin at 70, gives me hope that I could look that good!!!! There are too many actresses her age (i.e. Joan Collins) out there that look like they've had 40 facelifts already!!! Linda looks great for her age, and I'm glad she's doing well.

19. Linda Lavin was a terrific and beautiful Rosalind years ago, too; she was the lead in her college production of Shakespeare's wonderful As You Like It. I "did props" and got to see the play many times. "Alice" was neat, but her Rosalind was, I think, even more memorable.
