Case scenerio: Nick and John drag racing down the street - instead of hitting tree, Nick hits car with family of 4 going out for ice cream. One kid is left in coma - Is John still at fault? Or can we blame the kid who got all A's on his report card getting treated to ice cream?

ALL YOU "BOO-HOOing" FOR NICK ARE FORGETTING ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING...
Those 8 months are NOTHING compared to a lifetime of laying immobile with tubes out of every orafice and being totally dependent on anybody other than yourself for everything!
When his jail term is over, here are just a few things Nick will be able to do that John will never do again:
* Ride in a car
*Go out to eat
*Hang with his friends and family
*Visit Daddy on his "Gladiator" set
*Wipe his own butt
*Sit upright in a chair
*Use a fork & knife
*Get out of bed in the morning and stand firmly on the floor of his tricked-out bedroom
* And on and on and on and on .....

That's too bad for Nick, I mean he totally deserves it & he will come out a changed person, thats what county time does to you, but he'll definatly have to watch out in there & not drop the soap! What a tragedy! That John Graziano dude didn't deserve what happend to him! These kids nowadays think driving is a game, speeding & tailgating there stupid & ignorant! Accidents do happen & here's a perfect example! But it could have been avoided!

I think the sentence was appropriate, 500 hrs community service, no license for 3 years, 5 years probabtion and 8 months of county time. John has a life sentence, but justice has been served.

The California penal system could learn a lesson or two from this judge. While some may think the sentence is light, at least this judge didn't do the usual celebrity pandering and sentenced this punk to serve some real time. In Cali, he'd serve a couple hours and get out...or go to "rehab" for a few days. Kudos to the judge and finally the state of Florida is good for something besides screwing up elections.
