Is anyone really dumb enough to buy into the "John is at fault too"
argument? Yea, the judge said it was stupid too.....

Yeah Johns at fault just as much as if Nick crashed into a bus bench instead of that tree and on that bus bench was a looser drunk just sitting there! If the drunk was comatose, I suppose it would be the drunks fault too for sitting on a bus bench because the bus stopped running the route at that time. He shouldn't have been there and he was drunk - wouldn't he be at fault too?

Some of you just don't get it!

Iam sorry for Nick and everyone in this terrible ordeal. Nick will be haunted the rest of his life as of this family with the way thier son is now. MY GOD. I feel so bad for Nick and all of those who are involved. I,ll tell you something this could happen to anyone. It pisses me off. This was an accidident. It was an accident. Not meant to take place. I feel realy bad for the Hogans and the other family. That young man will never be the same and so it is for Nick he,ll never be the same. NOONE IN THIS WILL EVER BE THE SAME.

An accident would have been if a deer ran out in the road and caused "THE ACCIDENT" - putting the pedal to the metal on a PUBLIC STREET drag racing then crashing, putting your friend in a coma is a TRAGEDY! It was very much avoidable had Nick learned from his priors to do something so wreckless!!!

This is not his first, and I'll bet the farm that it wont be his LAST!

I think this is a terrible accident and I also believe that his families status is what got him off. I mean come on 8 months for drunk driving, underage drinking, vehicular manslaughter and maybe more. I mean people got more for stealing. justice can have no morals sometimes. Would 5years really of killed him. what if it was the other way around. How much you want to bet they would have thrown the book at him

Another thing I don't see why people are saying it is partly the other kids fault for not wearing a seat belt. Maybe that could be remotely true if Nick wasnt DRUNK Imean could you really look at a victim of a drunk driving collision who wasn't wearing one and say "should of wore your seat belt you would have been 50% less hurt". I mean come on

Its pretty sad that people have to wish dealth on Nick and his family. Nobody is perfect, people make mistakes. He's a kid, did something horribly wrong, and now he's paying for his actions. Its not like he went out that night thinking "hey i'll crash my car and put my best friend in the hospital" Come one now, everyone makes stupid mistakes in life, especially when they're young. I'm not saying he wasn't wrong, or shouldn't be punished for what he did...My heart goes out to both families.

. Case scenerio: Nick and John drag racing down the street - instead of hitting tree, Nick hits car with family of 4 going out for ice cream. One kid is left in coma - Is John still at fault? Or can we blame the kid who got all A's on his report card getting treated to ice cream?

NO!!!! WE .... come on say it with me ..... BLAME THE DRIVER!!!!

DAMN WHY DO YOU KEEP INSISTING IT'S PARTIALLY JOHNS FAULT

no sceneiros here, thats a completly differnt case and you know it...Im not saying The crash is johns fault, Im just saying that if he would of had his SEAT BELT on or made BETTER CHOICES maybe he wouldnt be as hurt...theres a sceneiro for ya!!
