Goldman's Lawyer: Show Me the Money!

In addition to the shocking claim made in Mike Gilbert's upcoming book that O.J. confessed to the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman -- Gilbert also claims to have helped O.J. keep money away from the Goldman family.

The Goldman's lawyer, David J. Cook, is pissed.

Cook told TMZ: "It's disgusting on two levels. It's another case of folks like Mr. Gilbert drinking the cocktail of celebrity and being intoxicated by Mr. Simpson's celebrity status -- and in doing so committing a moral, ethical and legal wrong. It's no different than the Las Vegas debacle."

Although Cook believes Gilbert's book won't be 100% true, he said, "There are strong strands of truth in [Gilbert's] story. We have heard over the years of Simpson walking around with bags of money, and then the money disappears. He needed his cronies to help him. Gilbert is just one of Santa's little helpers ... this book won't be an X marks the spot, but it's an enormous break."

The Goldman family won a $33.5 million wrongful death judgment back in 1997.

54. Andy, you're absolutely right. We choose our own paths, and we can make it easy four ourselves , or we can make it extremely difficult. Why not make life as pleasant as possible, not only for ourselves, but for others along the way? At least that's the way I see it. Maybe that's a little naive, but it works for me, and I've done okay so far.

57. GET A LIFE PEOPLE, especially Mr. Goldman, it is over -- long over. Heal, mend, put your heart where all of us who have lived with senseless tragedy in our life, have moved on and live. SECOND, for all you morons, who do not get it, of course, O.J. is guilty, but this is what that means, for those of you too arrogant or ignorant of the world in which you live. Simpson proved but one thing, if you have the money to throw at the lawyers, you get a "Get out of jail Free" card. Could this be your not latent prejudice we are reading here? Why aren't you standing on the rooftops shouting about Robert Blake or Phil Spector -- could it be because they are not black??? Because their crimes are just as flagrant and they are just as arrogant as pathetic Simpson.

59. No, Frank. It's not because they're (Blake, Spector) not black.
It's because we were given graphic pictures of a beautiful young woman and her innocent young friend.
We were told of the history of awful domestic abuse.
The Kato aspect attracted interested, along with the children.
Mark Furman and the glove story, the colorful lawyers, the high speed chase, etc.
These all kept our collective interest.
That's why people were so appalled, not because he was black.

60. I watched the televised court proceedings and he was proven "not guilty" by a jury of his peers. End of case. That is whythe system does not make sense when someone is not found "guilty" that they can be made to pay money to the victims family for the murder. Duh..that is why our system is a mess. Goldman's think money will pay for the lose of their son and brother..wrong! They need ot get peace from money? Something is wrong with that and I feel sad that they are so caught up in it and being the "professional victims" now that they will never have rest or forgiveness for whoever did this.
I think the whole thing was a setup with Goldman's involved in Vegas and this guy isn't any better but just wanting money because he is in trouble now too. Also with what was presented at the trial the jury made the right decision. Did OJ do it? No..it was a profesisonal job and all evidence pointed that way. Did he hire someone to do it? Possibly..but it was a professional job and possibly related to drugs and a message to Nicole's friend who stayed with her a few weeks before fresh out of rehab. I do think Goldman was at he wrong place at the wrong time trying to do a good deed.
