Goldman's Lawyer: Show Me the Money!

In addition to the shocking claim made in Mike Gilbert's upcoming book that O.J. confessed to the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman -- Gilbert also claims to have helped O.J. keep money away from the Goldman family.

The Goldman's lawyer, David J. Cook, is pissed.

Cook told TMZ: "It's disgusting on two levels. It's another case of folks like Mr. Gilbert drinking the cocktail of celebrity and being intoxicated by Mr. Simpson's celebrity status -- and in doing so committing a moral, ethical and legal wrong. It's no different than the Las Vegas debacle."

Although Cook believes Gilbert's book won't be 100% true, he said, "There are strong strands of truth in [Gilbert's] story. We have heard over the years of Simpson walking around with bags of money, and then the money disappears. He needed his cronies to help him. Gilbert is just one of Santa's little helpers ... this book won't be an X marks the spot, but it's an enormous break."

The Goldman family won a $33.5 million wrongful death judgment back in 1997.

61. And how do you know the race of other posters?

62. BlacGirl and BlacGuy are one and the same.
Equally hate-filled racists.
A dishonor to the race.

63. Andy:

1: Compared to some of the posts on here calling for vigilante justice or for OJ to be lynched, her comments were subtle.

2: I don't know the race of posters on this board, but if someone is claiming to be black and it is obvious by their words that they are completely out of touch with the plight of the AVERAGE black in this country, I'm going to call them on it.

64. Anon, you obviously have no clue about my race. When you're called the N-word, given terrible service and then TOLD it was because "your kind" stiffed the waitress a short while before, called a porch monkey by a co-worker, sent insulting racist email by co-workers who are clueless enough to think it's funny, watched like a hawk in stores while white patrons walk around with ease, and have a little old lady grab her purse when you sit down next to her with your child, have another little old lady tell your 2-year-old daughter to stay away from her because she's a thief and her daddy probably taught her to be one, called a bad man by a white pre-schooler the first time he lays eyes on you when you walk into the daycare to get your child....

You obviously have not walked in my shoes, so until you have, you don't have the credibility to call ANYONE an insult to their race. You know who the REAL insults are? All the whites above and all the whites who continue to support this behavior by trivializing blacks who speak out on it.

65. BlacGuy:

I don't pretend to know what you live with every day and I am disgusted by the examples you cited.

As for Robert Blake, though, I don't exactly see fan clubs for him popping up and he has not committed repeated crimes since his trial like OJ.

66. Andy, I don't support O.J. one bit. I think he is a sellout who wanted nothing to do with blacks until he needed their support during his trial. I think he's guilty as sin and all these low-lives that he thought he could trust are now coming back to bite him in the rear. I also don't fault the Goldmans. The man killed their son for goodness sake. I would probably be just as vigilant about making his life a living hell. So, maybe that's why the poster called me a disgrace, because he thought I supported that. With that being said, Most of the hate directed at O.J. has been racial. I honestly feel he would be less hated if he were of a different ethnicity or the victims were. The trial was a racial time-bomb and deeply split along racial lines. That was very evident during the trial. It created a divide that exists to this day. My issue is with the people who have their hatred motivated by racism. Yes, I feel it was just as wrong for blacks to cheer on a murderer as whites hoping for his conviction. However, when I read the posts today, I did not feel compelled to respond until I saw a poster claiming to be black and trivializing another poster's opinion. Let's face it, the attitude WOULD have been different if OJ's victims were black. We are not naive enough to think differently. But even THAT isn't what set me off. What really got my goat was the fact that this alleged "black" responder saw fit to ignore all the racial nonsense before that post and zero in on the one fellow (alleged) "black" poster. I guess all this hyperbole is my way of saying, blacks are not making this stuff up or "whining". Real issues do exist. And guys like OJ are a lightning rod for those who seek to divide us, even within our own races.

67. BlacGuy:

Very well said. You have my respect.
Racism IS alive and well in the USA.
By the way the same ignorant people making these posts
are calling for Hulk Hogan's son to be sexually assaulted
and Britney Spears to kill herself.

68. I'd believe it. After finding out that Kardashian helped OJ by taking the dufflebag with the blood and helping dispose of it, it wouldn't surprise me in the least that this nimrod would help hide money.

I remember very clearly during the first trial that posters and other memorabilia was going into the jail where Simpson was being held - he was signing his autographs to sell that junk for more money... even though it was illegal to do so, but then again it's illegal to hide money, to assist to hide money, to buy illegal drugs, to lie, cheat, steal and even murder. So if Simpson is going to do small illegal things, he'd do big illegal things.

He's just another famous punk criminal, a POS, a murderer, and even his kids have run afoul of the law. Apples don't fall very far from this maggot infested tree.

Although he got away with murder in this life, there is a judgement coming, and no amount of 'dream team' lawyers are going to be able to BS God.

Posted at 10:21AM on May 11th 2008 by OJ is a piece of s**t murderer

69. I see OJ is still looking for Nicole and Ron's murderers on every golf course in America while he's working on his 'slice'.

Posted at 10:25AM on May 11th 2008 by OJ is a murderer

70. I hope the Goldmans go after and go after and go after this slimy maggot the rest of his life.We can't even stand looking at the thing. EVERYONE KNEW the glove thing was planned also. Put him away for good.
