Britney Makes Unfunny Show Unfunnier

Brit makes her second appearance on "How I Met Your Mother" tonight -- and while her acting skills still leave a bit to be desired, her chest does its best to serve as a distraction.

64. That show is sooooo stupid and I can't believe the critics praised her. She CAN'T act. They're only bringing her on there a second time for good ratings. I wish the whole Spears clan would go back to the f*****g swamp in Louisiana and stay there.

65. illinois, you are a frickin' retard. Cutting away, she doesn't know comedic timing?? Even the cast members said she knew her lines better than them and she has superb comedic timing. She's been performing professionally since age 8, was the star lead of a major off Broadway production at age 9, has sold more albums in the impossible American market in the last ten years than any other female musician - including Madonna - and you have the balls to make assinine comments like that?? From what vantage point?? The shallow end of the gene pool, no doubt. A$$hole.

69. Hi there, Hello Kitty and zmt. I think you are both right. I know that seems inconsistent, but consider this: There are TWO conservatorships here. One is a conservatorship of the person of Britney Jean Spears (i.e., a guardianship), the other is a conservatorship of the estate of Britney (her assets). California Probate Code section 1801 covers both of these, but there is a different standard for appointing each type of conservator. For the "person" type of conservatorship, section 1801(a) provides: "A conservator of the person may be appointed for a person who is unable to provide properly for his or her personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter ... ." This sort of suggests that one must have some kind of mental or physical problem. Now, Brit was taking pretty good care of procuring food, shelter and clothing for herself (well, perhaps not all of the clothing she should have), so it's a pretty safe bet that the court was persuaded that Brit was not properly able to care for her health. Maybe the court found there was persuasive evidence of some mental health concern, as she was twice admitted under psychiatric holds in January. The court does not have to make a final finding of metal illness unless and until it is presented with evidence at a hearing for a permanent conservatorship. The current conservatorship is just temporary.

For the "estate" type of conservatorship, section 1801(b) provides: "A conservator of the estate may be appointed for a person who is substantially unable to manage his or her own financial resources or resist fraud or undue influence." KInda sounds like the situation with Britney's "trusted" manager, Sam Lutfi, doesn't it?

Hope that's the answer you were looking for!

And, just to cover all the bases, section 1801(c) provides: "A conservator of the person and estate may be appointed for a person described in subdivisions (a) and (b)." Rather superfluous, but the legislature no doubt thought it should be said.

The comeback was a big flop and her television acting is worse than her singing and dancing. We can all hope she will have a fit on the show and we can watch her meltdown!!! The show will be 30 minutes of crap!!!!!

74. This show is stupid...I haven't even tried to watch it....I know Neil is gay, therefore, it is too hard to try and picture him now as a stright man on any t.v. show, and adding britney in it only makes the show even less attractive. Neil your gay, now you cant be taken seriously on a show as this one. You need to change the show to "How I met your father". To which then it will be about gay guys so I still wont watch it, there is enough of those shows on t.v. already that I can't stand to watch. Why do I want to watch big flaming, sissy men (if thats what u want to call them) trying to pass as women? Get over it!!! Attention gays!!

75. Thank you for explaining the conservatorship questions Lawdawg ... certainly helped me understand things a bit better.
