92. This happens everyday in America. Parents ruining things for their kids. Go to a little league or perhaps a school game sometime, you'll see a Jeff Archuleta there. David is old enough to think on his own. Parents need to support their children but this is a bit much. I hope David Cook wins.

94. I don't recall any previous Idol seasons in which a parent did anything other than support their son or daughter from the audience section. A couple good examples were Jordan Spark's parents and Elliot's late Mother. David Archuleta may be 17 but so was Jordan Sparks. There is no comparing the two with respect to maturity levels. David looks like he's going to have a panic attack all the time. He acts a little dweeby instead of dreamy, except if I was 5 years old. Anyway, David Cook is one of few contestants with originality from any previous season. It wouldn't bother me if young David left tonight so all of us would not have to look at Jeff. If David wants to defend his dad, then David has sealed his own fate.

According to someone on David A's side, he wanted to do a more modern version of Longer last nite and was told by producers (Nigel & Co) that he "wasn't allowed to change the Dan Fogelberg version". I wonder why this type of information is never shared with the public. Hmmmm, TMZ? At the very least, report on both sides. NOW I see why they don't want Jeff A backstage with David. He needs to be there to protect his son from the producers and keep them from maneuvering things so that their "Chosen One," David Cook, will win this year. He gets strobe lighting, pimp spot, best producer song choice, not to mention the rather obvious gushing/pimping from Simon - Give me a break! Does my vote on who I think should be the next American Idol really even count?

96. ARCHULTA FAN - you can't even spell the kid's name right - LMAO What kind of "fan" are you? Third grader?

He DOES react like a deer in the headlights when interviewed - like he's so used to daddy dearest telling him what to say. It looks llike he doesn't know how to think on his own. My youngest granddaughter is more confident in talking to people than he is, and she's 6 years old.

Maybe when ARCHULETA matures, and if he can get out from under daddy dearest's control, he could do something with his singing career. He's got a good voice, but largely due to stage presence (or lack thereof) I can't get excited about any of his performances.

97. I get a kick out of the TMZ TV program. However, when you print lies claiming these vicious rumors about a 17 year old kid trying to get a start in the music business are truth, you are as phony as Simon Cowell. Everyone who would know have already condemed these rumours as lies, even squirrely Nygel who seems to have an uncommon, but welcomed, affection for Cook.
This competition has already been fixed in Cook's favor. The judges have brainwashed the unwashed Cook voters into believing he is the best thing to come along since Elvis. Sorry to break the news dudes, but D. Cook wouldn't make a pimple on Elvis' cheeks(:-).

- It would have been better if you have a picture or a video footage to show, coz really, it's so easy to say, ACCORDING TO OUR SPIES. Are there any videos somewhere? Please give me a link where I can watch it. I don't wanna be judgemental to any person whom I do not personally know especially if I wasn't even there. So like probing a case, truth lies from the factual evidences. I am not a David Archuleta fan, but as a rational person, I know this sounds unfair for both David and his dad. It's really cruel to say nasty words against a person if you don't even have anything to prove it's true. I am a loving daughter and I care for my dad so much, and if I were on his shoe and hear things like this about my dad, it would really hurt. I just hope people here would think and analyze things first before babbling.

103. David A deserves to win and would make a perfect American Idol but I'm afraid all these rumors about a stage dad and the shows obviously already chosen David Cook to be the winner. I personally don't see what everyone else sees in David C. He looks conceited and arrogant and I don't think he sings all that great. And he's not as creative and imaginative as nhe's been made out to be. All his supposedly creative arrangements of songs he "borrowed" from other artists, but he accepts the praise as if the ideas were his own. And I think he is ugly and weird looking with that huge head. Everytime I look at him I feel bad for his mom who had to push that big old head out. He combs his hair weird, too, like he's trying to cover up a bald spot. David A. is an adorable kid who's going to be gorgeous as he gets older. Bottom line is David Cook's singing has never given me goose bumps like David A has.
