Lets Get This Party Started
"Idol" Honcho -- Free David from Dad!

TMZ first told you how David Archuleta's dad was banished from backstage on "American Idol" for being a total nightmare. Now, "AI" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is selling his side of the story, and it sounds a lot like what we said.

Lythgoe tells EW.com that while "'banished' is a terrible word," he and the other "Idol" bigs wants David "to be able to be free like everybody else" to do his thing. As for the whole "Stand by Me" lyric-gate, Nigel says it was "a total misunderstanding" that led producer to say, "Okay, this is what we want to happen from now on."

Last night, our spies noted that Jeff Archuleta was "shooting daggers" at Lythgoe and co.

Castro – Stoner? I Don't Even Know Mary Jane!

Dreadlocks, heavily lidded eyes, the whole short-term memory lapse problem: Wasn't Jason Castro just blazed the whole time?

Hell no, dude, he tells OK! magazine. And here's the shocker: He says he's never been stoned in his life. "I think that, especially with things like ["AI"], people like to stereotype so easily," says Castro. "People have always said that. I don't worry about what people say."

Of course, when TMZ caught up with him yesterday, he didn't have very much to say at all, despite a barrage of qs.

"Work Out's" Warner Worked Over Boob Barb

Fitness guru and reality cult-heroine Jackie Warner is getting thrown on the rack after remarks about a client's enhanced bosom –- that Jackie says wasn't her doing –- rubbed viewers and a big sponsor the wrong way.

Propel Water told TMZ in a statement that it's pulling its sponsorship of Bravo's "Work Out" after Warner and her office manager's remarks about Jamie Eason, a breast cancer survivor, aired. Warner's camp says the offending remarks didn't come from her, but from her staff.

Eason tells TMZ, "It saddens me that Jackie continues to blame the others around her."

Party Favors: Al Reynolds Says He Loved Star, Once ... Mariah Tops Madonna

Al Reynolds – ex-Mr. Star Jones -- tells the world on his MySpace blog that he wants everyone to "walk in my shoes for a few hours ... It feels like 'Dump on Al Month.'" The world weeps. ... Mariah just crept past Madonna to claim the #4 spot on the music charts, even though her album's been out a lot longer. Madonna's album dropped like a rock from week one to week two of release.

61. "Clearly Bravo wants to sever ties with Jackie and her show, why else would they have aired this episode. Certainly not to highlight Jackies managerial skills and or to show the world what a sensitive and caring person she is.

That could be. I have to give props to Bravo for airing something that could cause one of their shows to not have another season. But come to think of it, Bravo probably wanted the ratings this would cause, but don't plan on a 4th season. Who'd want to watch more of Jackie after this? They should do a spin-off with Peeler running his own gym!

62. Jackie Warner handled this situation horribly!!! She allowed an employee to insult a client, giggled at it and then refused to discuss it with her trainer. Firing her trainer was the worst thing she could have done in this situation. She may not like the guy but he was totally right to confront her on this very important issue.

What was once a good show is going down the tubes rapidly.

63. Cry babies, tattletales, immature, issue-ridden, sex-obsessive manipulators. Those are a few of the more charitable descriptions for nearly everyone on Work Out. Jackie Warner claims to have her clients at heart, but snickering with a clerk about a client's body is unprofessional, mean-spirited and suicide for her show. As a breast cancer survivor who's had to deal with reconstruction and implants--a long, painful process, I might add--I sympathize with the client and her husband, of course. We have body-image issues because of the cancer, then the mastectomy and to add insult to injury, the reconstruction. How dare Jackie and her sneaky little clerk stoop so low! I don't like Brian for his immaturity and childish attitude; I totally dislike the clerk, Lisa, who should have been fired on the spot. Jackie? She should donate a year's profits to the Susan Komen foundation or Artemis at Mayor Clinic.

64. Who cares? Jackie didn't say anything about her breasts. Why is she being punished for it? I do think she could have spoken with Peeler about the situation but he went into her office on the attack and would not have listened to her no matter what she said to ease his mind. However, she should not have to appologize for what someone else said.

Jackie is being held accountable for what happens in her gym.

She is the one who created the environment where her employee felt it was okay to gossip about a client.

65. did anyone just see Jackie on Access Hollywood reading love letters from supposed straight/ fans to her professing how they would go gay for her because she's so awesome. "What a joke", this just shows what a self absorbed looser she is.

66. I think that we all watch this show for the same reason......eye candy and stupid gossipy drama. Yes Jackie and Lisa made a mistake but that isn't going to stop me from watching the show. Did anyone stop watching that reality show where Johnny Fairplay faked that his Grandma died so that he wouldn't get kicked off the show?? I don't know what that show was sorry. That one is still on the air and nobody protested about it when he brought his "dead" grandman to the award show. I'm not saying that I agree with Jackie and Lisa's reaction to this incident but I will still watch the show for the "eye candy and stupid gossipy drama". Jamie Eason is a beautiful strong person who is absolutely amazing for her accomplishments and I still believe that she is owed an apology by Skylab.

67. Jackie's comments were so sad... especially from a female who appears to have been made fun of all her
life...It could not of been easy being a gay female raised in a small town, it could not been easy being
tall with little or no shape...very hard for a female to be flat chested and very unattractive...Her assistant, bad extensions, over weight on a fitness show, numerous nose jobs....I guess they both have been made fun of so much that
they have to do it out of jealousy....Although I will never watch this show again....I pity both of them and hope
they seek the help they desperately need :(...With all her own handicaps, she could of had it all...Very sad...

69. okay, there was another story that said david archuleta's father during star search days tried to sabotage Tiffany Evans, who wasnt even in the same SEASON as david?.

and, yeah. it was a total misunderstanding, david thought it might be cool to do, and nobody told him or his father that the lyric change was frowned upon.
