NFL Star: Wal-Mart Left Kids Out in the Cold

Andre JohnsonNFL superstar Andre Johnson claims his charity got stiffed by Wal-Mart -- it all involves water and ice. Yes, ice.

Johnson ordered 750 bicycles to be given to underprivileged kids at an event sponsored by the Andre Johnson Foundation -- in return for the purchase, Wal-Mart agreed to donate water and ice for the May 3 event.

But there was a problem with the order, so Johnson ended up buying fewer bikes than planned. Wal-Mart countered by not giving the water and ice as promised. That's cold.

Wal-Mart is trying to rectify the situation. They tell TMZ, "We are reaching out to the Andre Johnson Foundation as we speak to rectify the situation. It's disappointing that this happened."

92. Andre Johnson or his "peeps" were probably acting like Johnsons in demanding free crap. There is a whole process to go go about securing donations. There is paperwork and asskissing. He should have been considerate and just made sure the "refreshments" were in order by buying them outright. He could have easily afforded it.

94. You see the whole problem here is that Wal-Mart Bicycles SUCK! They will fall apart in a month anyway! He should have bought them directly from a decent manufactuer. Probably get them cheaper. And this whole thing doesn't happen!

96. The CEO of Wal-mart is Lee Scott, and he is worth 6 billion himself. The big cats keep the money and pay the REAL workers peanuts and try to keep them all at part time . I worked there for a year and finally said enough, it's not worth it.
They don't hardly give anything to the comunity anymore.

97. Don't forget Walmarts return policy. Just buy something, use it , then take it back. It's the best rental place around.
Walmart owns the companys in China that had all the recalls. Buy a tire at WM then buy the same brand at a tire store and you will see the ones they make for WM are not the same quility as the others.

99. Wal-Mart just like Obama says what you want to hear and acts like they care about people. Then you find out low and behold they only care about money, power , and control. We care about the community as lonmg as they keep us rolling in the dough. Companys don't give because they care , they give for the free publicity and tax write offs, just like celebrities & politicians.

105. wal-mart is historically one of the worse employers in the nation. They do not promote their female employees, and they fire people for little or no reason. that this happened is no surprise to me. I heard on the news they will cash your stimulus check for free!!!! WHEE, guess where they are expectiing you to spend this money??
