So we know Britney Spears and Mel Gibson are in Costa Rica now, but there's a third person involved -- and it ain't no three-way.
Brit/Mel/ Robyn
Sources tell us Mel's wife Robyn has been on a mission (non-religious) to help the Britster. We've already reported how the Gibsons have had Brit over to their house for dinners, trying to help stabilize her insane life. Well, Mrs. Gibson is in Costa Rica as we post this, trying to teach Brit a thing or two about living in Hollywood.

We've taken our shots at Mr. Mel, but on this one... it's all good.

17. The Commissioner ought to step in and do something about this. No person under conservatorship should be taken out of the country by their conservator and forced to spend a weekend with a drunken misogynist. I can't believe that this is how the court protects her. Very sad that comissioners are so impressed by celebrity that they let this crap happen....it's like the commssioner thinks she's on the Truman Show or something.

18. Mel Gibson- loser, drunk, douche, misogynist, self appointed holier than thou roller! Now it sounds like he's a wanna be Dr. Phil! What could possibly go wrong? His wife has questionable tastes sticking with him. This will fail miserably if they try to reason with Brit in an adult fashion. And Brit looked like hell the night she left and also pregnant! She's been running around in over-sized, loose fitting clothing vs. her usual stripper attire, while carrying massive bags in front of her gut. I bet this is a strategy meeting as to what to do with another mini-pap on the way!

One of Mel Gibson’s seven kids is having problems that mirror his dad’s, but at least he’s getting treatment early. 25 year-old Edward Gibson entered Cri-Help treatment facility in late September to try and conquer his demons. Edward is determined to quit using drugs and alcohol and it sounds like he made a personal choice to go to rehab and wasn’t forced into it. He is also refusing all visitors, and will not see his family.

Edward’s twin Christian was arrested for DUI in 2005, but Edward has yet to run afoul of the law and he plans to keep it that way.

YA, I CAN SEE MA GIBSON REALLY KNOWS HOW TO KEEP THOSE 20 SOMETHING'S OFF DRUGS...NOT!!! THEY SHOULD FOCUS ON THEIR OWN KIDS, BUT I GUESS THEY DON'T GET THE GOOD PR FROM THAT AND THEIR OWN KIDS DON'T LET THEM EXPLOIT THEM LIKE PA SPEARS DOES.

24. Sugartit is old slang for pacifier. Back in the day, babies were given a cloth dipped in water and sugar instead of store bought pacifiers. My long departed uncle used this as a term of endearment. Just sayin.

27. The article goes on to say that Edward fears being lumped in the same category as other celebrities’ kids who just go wild. He is also said to speak frequently about how he doesn’t want to end up like his dad.

Maybe he will beat his addictions early and come away with the tools to avoid long term alcoholism like his father. Mel Gibson is shown here at the American Gangster screening last week, and he definitely doesn’t look sober. According to Cinema Blend, Gibson is next going to star in a police thriller with Denzel Washington called Under and Alone. Maybe that’s why he showed up to support Denzel, although he would have done both of them a favor by keeping his drunk ass on the bar stool instead. No wonder his kid is avoiding him while he’s trying to get sober.

TMZ has learned Mel Gibson exploded in anger last night on a college campus after an expert on Mayan culture accussed him of racially stereotyping the Mayans in the movie "Apocalypto."

It happened last night at Cal State University at Northridge in the San Fernando Valley. Gibson was speaking to a film class about his movies, and several members of the Mayan community came to hear the famous director.

After Gibson's presentation, the crowd was allowed to ask questions. Alicia Estrada, an Assistant Professor of Central American Studies at CSUN, challenged Gibson, asking him if he had read about the Mayan culture before shooting the controversial film. Gibson said he had.

Estrada persisted, stating that representations in the movie that the Mayans engaged in sacrificial ceremonies and had bloodthirsty tendencies were both wrong and racist. Estrada and others tell TMZ that Gibson exploded in anger, responding, "Lady, F**k off."
