Chesney to Fans - You Don't Know Jack!

Kenny Chesney was the big winner – yet again – at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Vegas last night, but even he thinks it's kind of a sham, all because the fans are involved in the voting.

In a snipe he's going to be regretting for a loooong time, Chesney said the Academy had turned the "Entertainer of the Year" category, the one he's won four times, "into a sweepstakes to see who can push people's buttons the hardest on the Internet. ... "It really diminishes the integrity of the music."

For the record, Chesney thanked the fans for voting for him anyway: "Long before I had a hit record, the fans always came to the shows."

Bush Leaks – The Wedding Singer Did It!

So how did the world come to know that George W. Bush teared up during his toast to just-wedded First Twin Jenna and that Grams quoted the Bible at last weekend's nuptials?

The First Family, report Rush & Molloy, thinks it was the wedding singer, a guy by the name of Tyrone Smith, aka Super T. They allege that he took pictures and sent text messages from the Crawford, Tex. event, even though cell phones and cameras were strictly forbidden.

Smith says that's about as true as WMDs in Iraq: "No I didn't take any pictures or anything. [Security] went through everybody."

Ashley O's Boy Bartha Bad News?

Ashley Olsen has been stepping out with "National Treasure" star Justin Bartha, but her pals are more than a little concerned, given some stories from his past.

Apparently, according to the New York Post, Bartha had more than a little turmoil with ex-GF Lydia Hearst. "He didn't take it well," says a source of his breakup from Hearst, and ended up screaming at her and calling her "a bitch" at an Oscar party.

Lydia's peeps say there are "no hard feelings between Lydia and Justin" and Bartha's reps didn't return calls from the Post.

Party Favors: Everyman Ron Paul is a Millionaire! ... Dept. of And They Said It Wouldn't Last: Woz and Griffin ... AshleyMadison.com Takes Teacher Down

Ron Paul, the GOP candidate who is such a big backer of the little guy, isn't so lil' when it comes to his wallet. In tax filings pored over by the L.A. Times, seems that Paul has financial holdings totaling over $5 million. ... Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and Kathy Griffin –- beauty and the geek, or something like it – are kaput, which Griffin found out when Woz's secretary called to tell her he was married., say Rush & Molloy. ... Controversial extramarital dating site ashleymadison.com is supposed to bring unfaithful married people together -- not get them fired. But that's what happened to a Connecticut school teacher after she won a radio-show "Hottest Wife" contest sponsored by the site. Well, at least now she has more time to cheat!

4. Hey, retard

It is pathetic to say she has more time to cheat. The school teacher was neither cheating or a member of ashleymadison.com.

The website ashleymadison.com sponsored a contest the hottest chick, ugliest guy contest on Howard Stern's radio show.

6. Kenny kicks butt!!! His concerts are well worth the ticket price. He IS the Entertainer of the Millenium.... AND the most humble guy around.

SO what if he gives his opinion on how he disagreed with the voting.. I AGREE with him.. He was probably taken out of context anyways... LET'S TALK ABOUT SOMETHING MORE PRESSING!!!!!

See you in Chicago, Kenny!!!!!!

10. I totally agree with Kenny about the fans voting. I voted for him. I know lots of other fans who voted for him. I am very glad he won because no one puts on a show like Kenny Chesney! But the reality of internet voting is that it can be manipulated. I also believe that artists with younger fan bases are at an advantage because their fan bases are typically very internet saavy and more inclined to participate in internet based voting. None of this is a good indication of who was out there working hard putting on a good show.

11. I don't understand WHY the "so-called" journalist who wrote the Chesney story chose a title that TOTALLY misrepresented what Kenny Chesney said! It is the job of journalists to report the truth and clarify the news, NOT to muddy the process with lies. Frankly, Mr. Chesney did not slam the fans in ANY WAY, and he DID make a valid point! For the award to remain prestigious, it MUST be voted on critically by an audience of one's peers, and not by a public popularity contest. It is the same type of standard paid to judging the Academy Awards all the way to the Nobel Prize -- yes, the public have their place and their value, BUT we are not equipped to decide the comprehensive merits of the HIGHEST awards in movies, in academia, or in country music. It simply diminishes the standards and the prestige of the award.

12. The whole awards show sucked big time!! WTF is that Lambert bitch winning album of the year about?? That is the biggest joke ever!! There is no way her album was better than George Strait or anyone else for that matter, what a joke.

13. I WOULD LOVE TO BE NEXT TO CARRIE UNDERWOOD. OH YEAH.

14. I agree w/Chesney. He's a great artist and I'm glad he won, but internet voting has nothing to do with the real reason artists earn these awards.
