3. Isn't "Negoes" just "Blacks" in Portuguese? Just because black people in North America don't like the term doesn't mean people all over the world find it offensive or that it is intended to be so.

6. If Nego is such an offensive word, why don't they change the name of the "United Negro College Fund"? I mean really.
Oh, and why not change the name of the "National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" because they don't like being called "colored" either?

9. Apparently they don't really like being called "Black" anymore. They prefer "African-American". But it was them who chose the term "Black" in the 1960's.
I prefer saying "Black" because it is mono-syllabic and also I don't have to wonder if the person is really from America or Canada or the Caribbean.

15. not all Blacks use that dergrading and foul word so please dont try to classify all of them as being ignorant. Only the ones with lack of education who dont know their history resort to using such. They feel if you use it alot it takes the power away but thats just ridiculous in itself. Obviously it's not doing the job because if it was most of the black community wouldn't be in a uproar over idiots like michael Richards and Jackazz Dog the Bounty Hunter saying it. So back to the sunject at hand yes Negro is not offensive but Ni&&er is. Most highly educated blacks and those mixed with black like myself find it disrespectful and vile for anyone of any race to use it!
