21. I had never watched AI before this season and only began watching after my daughters asked me to watch with them. I've seen some strange things from Paula but the worst for me was critiquing Jason Castro's second song when he had only performed 1. I was shocked that she claimed to be thinking it was David Cook she was talking about. When she claimed it was David Cook she said it was great after she had just finished bashing Jason Castro for the performance a minute previous.

Both my daughters and I want to see David Cook win although we also like David Archuleta. After the judges practically crowned David A the winner after performing Imagine for the second time they wanted me to vote for the entire 4 hours. I love most of what David A does but I didn't enjoy his version of Imagine & thought it was lousy to make people sit through it a second time.

Hopefully the votes people call in count for something because I did vote WELL over 300 times for David Cook. I quit keeping track after that but I know my cell calls are kept track of by my carrier. My girls can't say I didn't try though! I think it would be interesting to see how many times each person voted for their choice. It would be rather easy to prove how many votes a person made. I have already informed both of my daughters I won't watch another season though and if they do they are going to be voting on their own next time!

23. I've been watching AI for several years now. I'm done! After watching last night's show, it's finally occurred to me (and my husband) that this show is so fixed. The judges obviously went overboard with their praise for David A. Clearly, he's a front runner for selling the most records (mainstream, boring talent) so they were paid to push him last night by the record companies. I'm over it. David Cook is the real talent here. David A. will last only a few years because he doesn't have the maturity or emotional strength to withstand the pressures of the music industry.

25. What a mess Paula is. I am tired of Randy making stupid comments also. Simon sometimes does a decent critique but most of the time, their comments are useless. Paula usually seems to be on something, who knows what. David Cook is the real talent there. He is grown up and the better performer. David A. sounds like he belongs in a boy group, he has a kid's voice. Yes, he can sing but the sound is not appealing. It does seem that Idol is rigged. We haven't been watching the program regularly, particularly since last season was farce. Didn't figure this one would be any better and it isn't.

26. Hmm...that is redundant. She shouldn't have said who she planned on voting for anyway, it's suppose to be anonomous.

I am SOOOOO happy Cook won. He is by far the better Idol canidate. He's much more well rounded in the range of types of music he can do, and he's not a lying cheat. Haha! I had to push the coffee table far away from the couch I was sitting on so's not to kick it and hurt myself when they announced the winner.
Yeah, Archie has a nice singing voice, but he sounds too Frank Sinatra / Wayne Newton like (outdated, grandparents style). And it's so irritating that he holds practically every other note. I just wanna jump into the tv and slap him and tell him to stop butchering songs.
How is Archie a lying cheat? He lied about not knowing/never hearing and having to learn at least one song when he sang it in school at most 3 years ago, and he cheated ...whatever week it was that he sang "Stand By Me" and added a bit of "Beautiful Girl" (or whatever song it was) to it. He was specifically told by the producers and judges that was not allowed but he did it anyway, costing the production company mucho bucks. He so should've been disqualified for that. The finale should've been between Cook and Syesha.
