100 Million Votes ... for "Idol"

31. As it's been said, for weeks everyone knew it was going to come down to the two David's being in the finals so last week when Syesha went home, I was not suprised one bit.

I like both of them for different reasons.

Like Randy has been saying for a while that David A can sing the phone book and I agree. There is no doubt that he can sing and has amazing talent for someone his age. But he always sings in the same range. There's no variety.

I like David Cook's music type better because it's unique and he reminds me of Chris Daughtry and I love Daughtry's music. Chris Daughtry is the perfect example that you don't have to be the AI to make it big.

Anyway, even though I'm hoping David Cook wins tonight, my gut feeling is that David A is going to be the winner.

Which ever one of them wins, they both deserve it for different reasons.

34. On the day of the run-off, Simon was on "ELLEN" saying he hoped DC would win. Later, during the show, Simon gave DA the "win".
I have to say, that made me think maybe the show ISN'T fixed ! Simon put his CocaCola glass down long enough, to give DA the night.

35. David Cook is no where near as "original" as everyone claims he is. How original can you be when all you do is copy other people's versions of songs. I know I will never support his music after I saw just how arrogant he can be. Archuleta on the other hand, as humble as anyone could ever be. I'll buy every album he puts out. David Archuleta is the real winner no matter what. And for the people that are mad about the judges last night: That is exactly what they wanted. It's called cheap psychology. It made people vote for Cook that much harder. It's called sympathy votes. I talked to many people today who root for Archuleta that didn't vote last night because "the judges were mean to Cook". Exactly what AI wanted. And I've also talked to people who said "I voted for Cook because they were mean to him." Please, give me a break. It's a contest and the judges are allowed to have an opinion. Simon, however, was definitely trying to help Cook. He has been promoting him all week on talk shows, saying that he should be the one to win. Then last night he changed all of a sudden. Not really, he knows what he is doing. As egotistical as Simon is, you think he would change his choice after declaring a winner. Not at all. He worked this out beautifully. I hate that America fell for this cheap shot. Personally, I don't think Cook deserves it. I really liked him when it started but his attitude and everything else has gotten worse as time goes on. And for everyone's information: I'm a 19 year old college student. I'm not a tween and I'm not 50 years old. David Archuleta got all of my votes last night!!! DAFTW!!!

36. If, by some chance, David C doesn't win, I am sure there are record labels just waiting in the wings for him, a loss on AI would not bind him to THEIR contracts. Glass half full, David C, I love ya, hair and all!

37. I cannot believe people actually think that the 'voting' is really controlling the winner. This is 'television' people. Everything you're watching is carefully orchestrated or 'set up' to maximize viewers and increase monie$. By making the viewers think that their vote is influential, blurries the boundries between simply observing the talent show versus participating in the show. The producers will decide the results based on who will be most profitable for the show.

43. More votes than in the election because people can vote as many times as they want on Tuesday nights on the phone. Sheesh. It isn't like more people care about Idol than care about our soldiers in Iraq. Get a clue people. I'm sure if we could vote for president as many times as we could vote for a silly Idol, we'd get over 100 million votes during a presidential race. Alas, we can vote only once for that!

44. This is sad. Maybe if we had some sort of texting people would vote. they wouldnt' have to leave and go to a voting booth. People really think american idol is important ugh. I lik e Kelly Clarkson but have never been able to watch more than 30 sec of any show.
