46. I agree with poster #1. More people care about this show than the men and women fighting and dying in Iraq. Nothing wrong with TV in general, but people are just OBSESSED with this show, and it's the same old rehashed stuff every year. I used to like it but I stopped watching after the 3rd or 4th year because it's like being caught in a time loop. Same crap, new year.

51. Ok, the judges have LOVED David Archuleta since day one and I think they proved it week after week when the MONCHICHI could do no wrong. (If you aren't sure what a monchichi is, look it up--David Archuleta looks just like one!) Let him win, let him make an album with nothing but ballads (because that's all he knows how to sing anyway) and we'll watch David Cook, Carly Smitson, and probably even Chikizi climb to the top of the charts. Aside from Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, the title "American Idol" seems to be cursed because where are all the rest of the winners?!?! Let David Cook do an album the way he wants to, just like Daugtry got to!! Ok, so I am a David Cook fan--but maybe it's better that he doesn't win tonight. Let little Archuletta have his moment--because he won't last!

54. I'm sorry - everyone is saying Cook, Cook. I'm sorry I thought he sucked last night. He was doing nothing than screaming and yelling at the top of his lungs. David Archuleta on the other hand - fanstatic on every song last night.

But, from what I am seeing - they are going to give it too Cook. Which is like the Rueben and Clay moment. Clay should of won. Better singer. And by the way - who is doing better. Aiken is a gold seeling reciording artist who's on Broadway now. What has Rueben done. I haven't heard anything - have you.

55. They both are talented, but I believe David Archuleta will win. He is genuinely a humble person and that is what makes him so amazing to watch. He is clearly the better singer that can evoke great emotion!!Very talented!

David Cook although talented, does not have the vocal chops like this kid and has problems with intonation. You can walk into any bar in America and hear David Cook singing.

I am soooo glad he's not like those Disney Channel snobs. Finally there's someone WORTHY on tv for the younger generation to watch. What is wrong with all the haters, Give this kid the appreciation and respect he clearly deserves.

57. Unless this whole competition is COOKED... then David Cook has it in the bag.... All the prediction sites have David Cook winning and the message boards are filled with fans that spent the night calling in votes after Simon dissed him... reverse psychology to assure DC the win??? The ONLY way DA wins is if AI throws all integrity down the toilet and falsifies the results.

FWIW, DA had the most amazing night... I thought he was awesome... but then again so was DC... but his was in a consistant manner while DA's came outta nowhere after losing momentum earlier in the season.
