NEWSWEEK's cover story is about children who are bipolar. The article states that it is very difficult to diagnose a person with the disease. It also states that treatment is pretty "hit and miss" and people are lucky when the right dosage and medications are found.

The article goes on to state that if a person is bipolar, they are deficient in rational thought because of not enough activity in the prefrontal cortex in the brain, Bipolar's " ... get so emotional that they can't think, ... ". Their prefrontal cortex will shut down when triggered by something that makes them feel afraid.

If Britney, truly is bipolar, she will have a long and difficult struggle ahead of her. Making a "comeback" should be the last thing she should be concerned about.

Just because there is video showing her relaxing and acting as any other "normal" person would on a beach, doesn't mean that she is "better".

51. no one has admitted she is bi polar. Until they admit admit it, I assume she drank and did so many drugs that she lost her mind. And comeback????? Julianne Hough from Dancing with the Stars dances a billion times better than Britney, is more beautiful than Britney, has a better body than Britney and can sing better than Britney. Too many new people that have already passed her up..........Britney showed the world what she was really like. IT IS OVER FOR HER.

52. I wonder how many college graduates this spring can attribute the money
for their degrees to Britney in someway. Thousands of people make money
off of Britney in one way or another. I am sure Britney loves the paps attention
but (almost) anything gets old after a while. Rumor has it that Brit and Mel
are having a love shack built underground deep inside the Amazon Rain Forest.

54. It seems the paps just wish her bad and it is so sad there is no compassion just money to be made. I think it is unAmerican and evil to route for somone downfall and death. For a human being just to wish another bad for a story is wrong. Emphazing the mistakes and wrongs of someone you know is barely making it is bad karma. We all need space to live, make mistakes and find the right path for us. No one deserves to be treated like that. I wish Britney success. Someone needs to.

The people who contribute to this forum probably are a good, representative cross section of the U.S. population. Given how lots of the "home-made white boys" behave in this forum (name calling, misogynism, racism, toilet humor, etc.), it doesn't surprise me that a woman like Britney might prefer men from a different culture.
