Carrie to Fantasia: How's the Hoopty?

Truth is Carrie Underwood is a bigger star than Fantasia -- and they have the rides to prove it.

While Jesus and a chauffeur took the wheel for C-Wood in a Lincoln Navigator today outside the "Idol" hotel, her predecessor was left to drive herself ... in her shiny blue Toyota.

16. Maby Fantasia is less materialistic than Carrie. I got a story on your site didnt it? PUBLICITY people . Im sure Fantasia could have had a driver. Personally I like indepent people who dont forget where they came from.

17. That's probably a rent-a-car because Fantasia doesn't live in LA. She definitely has a Chrysler 300 and a red Mercedes. Her boyfriend (Young Dro), who's also in the car, drives a pimped out SUV that she's often seen driving in Atlanta. He's an artist on T.I.'s label.

18. TMZ this is news? Who really gives a crap about what kind of car she's driving? Why didn't you ask her about her performance on Idol? The girl obviously needs some help.

19. Fantasia is just happy not to be riding the bus circuit. Haha.

And #2, what are you saying? Taylor Hicks is Black? OMG I DID NOT KNOW!

Give me break. You want these idiots to succeed, buy their stupid albums. Oh you didn't? I guess you either A> thought they sucked, or B> Realized you couldn't buy non food items with your foodstamps.

20. I don't know if Idol is racist or not, but I remember when Carrie and Bo were the two finals, they each received a brand new Ford Mustang. (Convertible). Fantasia received a Ford Escort! Go figure!

23. Everyone has their own opinon on what is considered art....Personally, Fantasia was a STAR even before AI.....She has done well for herself & I thought her performance on AI 05-14-08 was GREAT & very entertaining.

26. Well we don't know when that MTV cribs was filmed! My guess is the Mercedes AND the mansion ARE GONE WITH THE WIND BY NOW!

Oh and by the way.........is Fantasia related to "Bubba" from Forest Gump? They BOTH have the EXACT SAME BOTTOM LIP!!!

27. Leave Fantasia alone!! She is an American Success story not some hateful blogger on certain websites.

28. Actually, color AND talent don't have as much to with it than stage presence. Fantasia doesn't have this.

Rueben had it, but his old ties held him back. Friends suing him, etc...he should have had a better fate.

Taylor was good for a gimmick or two, but he can't carry a tune.

Show is called American IDOL, not America's Best Singer. You need the look, the personality, some talent, and something that makes you stand apart from the rest.

29. I'm with you #27..... stop all the hatin Fantasia has not forgot where she came from and the gurl can sing if you know anything about singing from the soul.

30. I'm glad that both Carrie and Fantasia are grown up enough to be able to handle this kind of media/public thrashing. This sort of mean spirited feedback is what drives the less mature celebs to crash & burn long before they have a chance to figure life out for themselves.

I feel glad for those AI winners & finalists who manage to make something out of the experience. I can't begin to imagine the personal toll it takes on them to be a nobody one day and a household name the next.

Each contestant becomes a part of AI in hopes of being able to better themselves and fulfill their dreams, only to become puppets of the industry. If any of them can actually find personal success and satisfaction via this platform, then good for them. For those who only get 15 minutes before being tossed aside........well, I worry about them.

I don't even watch the show anymore. Not since Carrie's season.
