77. I wish the best for Steven and his family. Addiction is a b&*(h! My husband is an addict and I've seen the damage first hand. Very sad.

Get well soon!

78. I must say, I am not surprised that this story has broke. Even though I am a HUGE Aerosmith fan, I really am disappointed that Steven is back into this mess again. I really thought after all these years, things would have changed and he would have focused more on their music, than drugs. Anyway, I wish Steven Tyler all the best. I hope he gets the help he needs, but I really am sad if this is the end of his music career. I really think that his divorce from Theresa, has taken a toll on his emotions and that he probably only had his addiction to turn to, So unfortunate, but these things happen, I just hope he gets better soon, because I know he is loved by all his fans around the world. GOOD LUCK Tyler! :)

80. Hey Steven! Saw you bunch of times along with my daughter. You Rock!!!! My prayers are with you, you did it before, you can do it again!!! All those other idiots who are sending you bad comments are just jealous that they can't rock like you do. To hell with them. Don't listen. Love you, best wishes.

81. I've read some very compassionate posts here from people who have been through the hell of addiction and found their way back. I've also read some extremely disturbing posts from uninformed people.

Addiction is a life-long disease, folks. Sometimes, even the greatest, most talented individuals are allowed to fall.

I personally pray for you Steven. Remember, it is a lifetime battle, but no one can take all your years of clean living away from you. You caught your relapse early, and haven taken steps to get better again.

You've inspired many, many people over the years. Keep on rockin', keep on fighting the good fight.
Best wishes, Sharon

82. this saddens me, and also explains partially why aerosmith haven't put out an lp of all-new material in over 7 years. for chrissakes he's 60, hasn't he learned from his mistakes?

83. I was at an AA program meeting this wekend at the facility. I sat next to Steven, he seems really sincere and humbled and committed to his sobrity. If he is going to make it and stays clean he needs to be at that place.
either he does this or we will be reading a different head line.!!!!!

84. Ken---Addiction is a very complex disorder. Some people can totally overcome their addictions for life and never have another problem, for others it is a life long struggle. Some alcoholics can overcome their alcoholism and return to moderate drinking, many can never touch a bottle again. It is mysterious and unexplainable why some can completely recover and go on to live normal lives, and others are forever an addict. Stephen was sober for a long time, and somehow he has relapsed. Probably som "friend" who broke out herion in from of him. He's a really nice person and a real character. I hope he works it out.

86. 24. Saw them play once in the 70's and Tyler and Perry had no idea where they were. 45 minutes and they were gone. I thought that was the beginning of the end.
----------------------------

I saw them in the 70's at Toledo Sport's Arena in Toldeo, Ohio. There could barely stand up. I'm glad Steven made a turn around and has been so successful. If you had asked me back then I would have thought they'd be dead before the 80's. I mean, it was BAD. Hang in there Steven! You can do it, we love ya.

87. I remember reading the book 'Walk this Way' a bio on Aerosmith a number of years ago, and in it Tyler said he never forgave the guys in the band for the intervention they did and forcing him to look at himself. He went through rehab and admitted to an enormous bitterness. He said he could understand why they did it, but he still didn't like it.

He admitted to snorting houses, airplanes, cars and other things. In other words he snorted a LOT of money...

...and was almost insolvent (financially broke).

Fast forward to now and he'd going to go to rehab again - too bad it isn't a Hollyweird rehab with psychobabble quacks but a solid rehab for ordinary folks.

Robin Williams was right in his assessment on cocaine - it means you're making too much money. (only he worded it a lot more colorfully!
