Well, there is no way to reproduce without a third party involved, when there is two males or two females. This seems very unnatural to me. When two males, or two females are able to reproduce, without anyone else involved, then I will say that I was very wrong, and please excuse me for being so stupid.

Marriage was invented by the human race to identify which children belonged to which particular parents. Gay marriage makes a mockery of marriage, because gay parents can not reproduce without a third party to produce a child. This is just biology. I've have known both gay male and female persons, and have no problems with them. I do believe that gay couples - SHOULD NOT HAVE CHILDREN! Sorry, but that is what I believe.

65. Grandmother of Katrina, because lesbians and gays can't have children is the reason they shouldn't marry? So straight men and women that are unable to have children for various medical reasons should not be allowed to marry either? What about women that go through menopause or get hysterectomies? Should their husbands divorce them since these women can no longer have children? 13 year old girls and boys are able to produce children, should they be allowed to marry each other at that age because of that?

The only reason he runs as a republican is because he supports the military and he knows as a democrat, he would NEVER get elected supporting the military. Republicans didn't elect him to represent our party, democrats and independents who were allowed to vote in the republican primaries are the reason he is there. He is a phony Republican and should really be representing the Democrats if he was really an honest man, which he isn't. I have no dog in this fight, that is for sure. McCain has an antiquated and embarrassingly back water ideology - If he can explain to me exactly how anyone's sexual orientation, race, sex or religion wholly defines any person in a concise and intellectual manner I will listen - but to repeat "we respectfully disagree" instead of delivering a proven, tested and re-tested scientific reason as to why one human being loving another is wrong - well, he then remains a holier than thou, un-cultivated and good ol' boy bumpkin minded American,
Ellen was articulate and light hearted - she made perfect sense without any attempt to be argumentative.
I am a straight female and was brought up Catholic and being a Christian has always meant to me "Love thy fellow woman and man". Period.
I hope Ellen and Portia make it out to Vancouver one day - where same sex marriages have been legal for years.

Men are born with penises between their legs, women are born with vaginas between their legs, caucasians are born with lighter skin, blacks are born with darker skin, the mentally ill are born with brain disability, the handicapped are born with physical disability, homosexuals are born with attraction to the same gender, heterosexuals are born with attraction to the opposite gender. And so on. People are born certain ways. It is not by action they take or do not take that dictates this. The United States has always striven, sometimes with greater success than at other times, to ensure legal equality for all human beings, however they are born.

Many homosexuals and heterosexuals do not embrace any "lifestyle." They may never have homosexual or hetereosexual physical intimacy: however, they know what they feel and what they are. And by the way, many heterosexual couples engage in what is simply assumed to be the primary act which defines a homosexual couple; and many homosexual couples do not. Many heterosexuals love with lifelong committment other heterosexuals of the same gender. Are they chosing to be gay because they are lifelong comparions but not sexual? And many homosexuals love with lifelong committment members of the opposite gender. Are they chosing to be straight because they are lifelong companions but not sexual? Ultimately, it comes down to equal respect for all individuals regardless of the shades of their different choices.

As for the issue of chosing to have gay sex - be careful Larry - because that means you believe there are millions of people who desire to pass for heterosexual who have simply chosen not to have gay sex and repress their natural desire. What you are actually implying is that sexuality is simply a choice - whether it be to chose homosexuality or heterosexuality. Do you believe you have simply chosen heterosexuality or is your attraction to women a matter of natural-born desire and impulse for you. If it is, then it is also a matter of natural-born desire for the homosexual too.

It is widely known fact that human beings who most greatly fixate on the sexual choices and desires of people with whom they are not engaged in sexual relations are, in fact, repressing those instincts themselves.
