2. Gag me please. The other David had a better voice. Archuleta had a heavenly voice wich he can do so much with. David Cook is just another Dougherty...nothing special or different about his voice.

3. Personally, I believe American Idol is rigged. I believe they didn't give it to Archuleta because of the drama his father caused. I believe the producers knew Archuleta's father would be a permamnent thorn which wold bring too much drama for them. American Idol can tell us whatever they want to tell us about how many voted for each...but that's something we will never be able to confirm as they will never show the public PROOF. Archuleta was the real winner and David Cook won with the help of the producers.

8. Wow, more haters.
Here's the thing, Cook worked the arrangements to his advantage...which definitely shows in a musician of any kind, that they can survive in this business. Given, I agree that Archuleta's final performances were better, they are BOTH very talented, and it's almost a guarantee both David's are going to get contracts. The plus side is that if Archuleta gets his own contract and not an Idol one, he can sing what HE wants as opposed to being forced to do what Idol wants him to do....which would likely lean more towards pop.

So congrats to both of them!

9. " the real judge" you're silly. Do you realize that Daughtry has been pretty successful from the beginning of his career, much more so than any other winner, minus kelly and carrie? Comparing Cook to him is not much of an insult. Maybe thats why so many people voted for Cook, because he reminded them of Daughtry ( who should have won ). I am sure that many of the millions that bought Daughtry's Cd voted for Cook. Everyone I have met thought Archuletta was sickening, and said that they would vote this time, simply because they didn't want to see him win.

13. Daughtry was the top selling band last year, so there is proof that "rock" has an audience. David A. will go on to be the next Josh Groban who is HUGE. They definitely should have strong sales and long careers, if they record the right record. American Idol is a machine and they are the puppets. Congratulations to barely emo David Cook.

15. I was shocked when David Cook won. I thought for sure that Archueta would get it based on the praise and other babble about how great he was. I'm sure Archuleta will have a great future ahead of him. He's still young enough and talented enough to go very far if he makes the right choices and can somehow expand his range and grow with the types of material he's given. David Cook, on the other hand, will go just as far. I'm glad he won. I was hoping he'd win. He's very talented, has range and isn't afraid to take chances with his song selection, which will give him a far greater appeal to music buyers. Best of luck to them both. David and David, keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars (to quote a guy whos name I can't remember). God blessed you both with a wonderful gift. Use it well.
