David Cook: After the Bell

How incredibly stupid are you folks. Archie is has baby voice, with no depth. He is just another back street boy or any other whiney kid. I am questing "The Real Judge"'s hearing. Nothing special? I believe you are talking about Archie. Cook has a fabulous voice. Archie certainly has a future with Disney. He will be fine with the other little boys!!!

Both Davids have talent. I think that David Cook has greater sex appeal. The fact that he chose more uncommon songs for their final showdown may have appealed to more AI fans. DC should be better able to handle the fame, etc., that comes with this win than DA, who is, as someone else posted, is better suited at this point in time, for the Disney Channel (based on his age and life experience). Please don't diss Doughtery. He has done more than any AI "winner," except perhaps Kelly Clarkson. His songs are always on the radio. When was the last time you heard: Stoddard, Jordin, Clay Aiken, etc., on the air? It's interesting how those who didn't even come in second, that is, Doughtery and Jennifer Hudson, have gone onto more fame, etc., than "winners."

First things first is this poll referring that Kelly Clarkson is the biggest thing to come out of the winner? Because Kelly has nothing on Carrie. Second for those that think its rigged dont you think that they want Archuleta to win all year long. I mean come on he judges praised him like there was no tomorrow. I will give it to him that he has a nice voice but really is the slow same crap better then a guy who can pretty much do anything?

I THINK DADDY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH DAVID A.'s FAILURE TO WIN. PEOPLE GOT TURNED OFF BY THAT.
IF DAVID A GETS AN OPEN CONTRACT, (INSTEAD OF IDOL CONTRACT), WATCH OUT! DADDY CAN TAKE DOWN HIS SON'S CAREER, BEFORE IT GETS STARTED. WASN'T DIANA D'GARMO'S MOM THE SAME WAY?

I AGREE, AI is a set up and the producers decide who wins. It's obvious Archuleta had the richer and purer voice. He lost because of his father's interference.

David A sang the same song to be safe. David A. has no stage presence. David A actually forgot words during one of his performances. David A. can only sing Ballets. David C. was very diversified, he sang rock and ballets, he never repeated a song when he could have easly song Billy Jean again. He has stage presence. Plays a instrument and can speak in an interview.

That being said the best David won..... The best David came in 2nd place which is nothing to feel bad about!!!!

Simon's comments didn't help David A. Some people I believe voted just to prove Simon was wrong. David Cook's 3rd song did it for me and watching his rendition of Billy Jean in a previous show made me even more of a fan. With his talent, I think he will be surprising us in the years to come with some unforgettable songs.

I think everyone needs to step back and look at pure sales numbers. You look at the top 3 sales of idol winners and finalists, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Chris Daughtrey. Their sales & touring numbers are what counts. Other winners and finalists like Reuben, Clay, Fantasia, Taylor, Katharine, Jordin, and Blake, their numbers COMBINED don't even match the top 3 I mentioned. David Cook is marketable. David Archuleta is not, unless you're talking about the under 18 crowd. Besides, anyone even remotely related to the Industry knows that touring and merchandising are what makes money, not CD sales.

oh and by the way, Brian Adoms totally lost it. He sounded weak and horrible. I love the old Brian Adams.

OH, and by the way, THE JONAS BROTHERS CAN'T SING! I'm sure Simon was thinking the same thing too. They got by on their career because of the love struck teeny boppers, not their voices.

I think David Cook won because he is a natural artist. That one song clenched the show. This is what American idol is supposed to be about. Archuleta could sing the ballots but he just did not have the artistic talent of Cook.

David A is a fake, whiny little baby. He has no target audience for record sales!

Did anyone else watch Idol Live where David Cook ask Kimberly Caldwell out to dinner????!!!!

After his first album what the heck are they going to do with David A.? Anyone remember Billy Gilman? Cute young guy good voice. One hit wonder! How about Charlotte Church? Now, that's a career that has rally gone "somewhere"! The right David one. He by far could have more longevity. Whether he's going to be the next Carrie Underwood or the next Taylor Hicks remains to be seen.
