16. Don't you think it's a little odd that TMZ calls Brittany a publicity whore, when they're the ones giving the publicity? Hey, they know who butters their bread. She makes them a lot of money. Calling her a whore and every other bad name in the book, just lines their pockets. What goes around comes around. I'll laugh the day the camera is turned on their corporation as it's going down the sewer.

21. This is what she seems to crave more than her children, sanity, or anything else! People who care about their children would be getting themselves together for them, but for her, it is all about her next media fix and staying in the public eye no matter what the costs are. Even some of the other hard partiers are taking to motherhood in a nice fashion, but not Brit. It is also doubtful that the conservatorship will end anytime soon and that is a good thing. It takes a hell of a lot of dysfunction to end up with monitored visits. And with as much difficulties as she has found herself in, it can be nothing other than her fault at this point. When your life is this bad, you need to look into yourself to see what the cause is. It's all about taking personal responsibility and being lead by the nose her entire life is hardly something of an accomplishment. I do not wish her further pain, especially when this will flow directly down to the kids, but I have little sympathy for her either.

23. What's so sad is that she thinks these photogs are interested in her when it's really all about the money for pictures of her doing crazy azz stuff.

I totally agree with you. No matter what the conspiracy theorists here desperately want to believe, people don't lose custody of their children and have to be put under conservatorships simply because someone feels like exploiting them. The courts will only do this if the person has serious problems taking care of him- or herself. We therefore have to conclude that Britney indeed is suffering from mental problems of this severity ... or at least has had them up until recently.

Time will tell if these are temporary or more permanent problems. However, if I had to bet, I'd put my money on Britney either staying on the conservatorship for an extended period of time or being released and then melting down again soon thereafter. I don't _want_ to see either of these results, but sadly, they seem to be the most likely outcomes.

Brit did not cause a frenzy the morons with the cameras did and I think she is honestly happy again not for the attention either...She is getting her life back on track and it is showing, I am happy for her and most of the posts here are as pathetic as the people making them. SHE IS DOING GREAT !!! Be happy and stop hating on these celebs.

I for one don't believe that Britney is desperate for publicity, but all evidence points to the fact that she _does_ enjoy the attention.

You suggest an interesting experiment, but unfortunately, it is not going to ever be performed in the real world. The paps have huge incentives to follow Britney wherever she goes. If some of them could be persuaded to take part in this experiment and to go over to the cross-town WalMart, the rest of them will stay glued to Britney all the more tightly in the absence of the first group.

So this leaves us with no empirical way to know for sure just how desperate Britney might feel about getting publicity.

But again, if you look at her in the collection of videos that have appeared in the press over the past, say, 12 months, I believe that Britney appears to enjoy the attention a lot more than she appears to resent it. Plus, before the days of the conservatorship, she took NO precautions to avoid the press, unlike most celebrities. And after Papa Spears took over, we all of the sudden could hardly see her, which means that it was very easy for the anti-press measures to be instituted, if there was a will to do so. Since Britney could also have easily taken these steps and since she didn't do so, I conclude that the press attention didn't bother her at all. Given how happy she has appeared with the attention in most of the vids we've seen over the past year, I further conclude that she enjoys this attention.
