9. Alexandre: "Kosher" actually just means clean. Jewish Dietary Laws deem food Kosher, caaording to how animals are raised. No sick animals are raised with well animals. Animals are kept clean and separate from waste. Animals are not fed the meat or parts of other animals.They are blessed, and ritually slaughtered, so the blood drains out a certain way, and does not sit in the meat. The meat is salted, and the blood frained. Milk is not cooked, stored, or served with meat . Animals with a cloven (split) hoof are forbidden, (pigs, deer,elk, etc.) The food is stored in a "Kosher" kitchen, warehouse, etc., which has been cleaned thoroughly with boiling water , etc., and blessed by a special Rabbi. Sometimes, if you order a "Kosher" tray of party food to your biz or home, you will order a "Dairy " tray. There will be cheeses, smoked fishes (lox, whitefish, sable), fresh veggies.Bagels and Bread on the side. (challah, or egg bread, and bagels). Some fruit will also come on another tray. The "Meat" tray will have Corned Beef, Salami, Roast Beef, Beef Bologna, etc. Rye and Challah bread accompany the tray. Kosher is more expensive than regular meat. I personally think it is safer.
