33. As a mother, I hear the pain in both mother and son's voices during this tape. Yes, he made a mistake and needs to be accountable for that, but it was the result of an accident, not a pre-meditated crime. It's sad to hear suffering like this.

34. That boy is laying in a hospital bed and will be until someone finally pulls the plug and lets him have peace. That retarded son of Hulk ALWAYS drove while drunk and the whole family thinks out running the law is good times. They are trash and the boy should have some major return coming to him, the jail sentence is nothing. He deserves to rot in hell for eternity.

37. 28. 17 year olds do stupid things. He didn't intentionally do this to his friend. I think isolation IS a bit harsh. He's not a mass murderer for God's sake! They could at least put him in a cell with a non-violent offender. 8 months is a LONG time to spend alone like that. It's going to do more damage to him mentally than one can imagine. Sure, he deserves to be punished for what happened, but not like this.

38. Hey, I am not saying he should get nothing. But you are telling me John G had no clue of how his friend was when he got in that car with him? John did not wear his seatbelt. Of course it's a tragedy but i NO WAY Nic wanted to hurt his friend. Sure it was reckless and Nick should serve some time, but there are far worse people in the world than Nick, remember he had no prior criminal record jst some speeding ticets. This could have happened to any teenager who like to drive fast, and there is a lot of them, I assure you.

41. Maybe something good will come out of this. He will see the treatment of prisoners do some charity work and help others that get stiff sentences for things like drugs or wrongful imprisonment cases,

Maybe? Or maybe he will continue with his richboy life and it will have no affect on him. It sounds like it is having an affect. For someone who has probably gotten his way everytime I can understand how not being able to get your way really sucks.

Now he knows how the rest of us live.

Regardless I think it is good for him. He honestly sounds like a child begging his mommy to get out of timeout.

45. Can people please cut the "leave this poor kid alone" crap???? Or the "It was an accident". It was no accident that he drove with a reckless disregard that unfortunately killed his friend (for all intents and purposes. Who would want to live out the rest of their life as a vegetable??). For this act, he was sentenced to EIGHT MONTHS. Eight measly months. I know people who received over TEN TIMES that amount of time for something as petty as stealing and even they didn't whine as much as him. Most real men could do eight months standing on their head. There are consequences for actions. This kid just learned that. Quit trying to force the nipple back in his mouth.
