Hulk Plans Secret Hearing: Don't Tell Mom!

Hulk Hogan seems to have been planning a secret hearing to get Nick out of the jail he now calls home.
Hulk Hogan, Nick Hogan
In one of the audiotaped phone conversations, you hear Hulk tell Nick that he's not going to show up at the hearing because he's too high profile and that the media would then show up and the judge would feel pressure "not to do the right thing."

It's unclear which hearing Hulk is talking about, but it's very clear the purpose of the hearing is to get Nick transferred to another facility. You hear Hulk urge Nick, "Don't tell your mom." He's afraid she'll come with all her divorce lawyers and attract the media.

Nick says he'll wear his jailhouse issue in court to create "sympathy" with the judge. Nick said in another conversation he was hoping for house arrest. Good luck with that, dude.

94. Why should his treatment be any different then the rest of the general public. Just because he is Hulk's son doesn't mean that it's a free meal ticket to break the law. The law should be the same for everyone. Just because you are famous or rich should not change your status!!!

97. Hey Stopitalredy.

There IS privacy laws. Its between legal council and client. None of these has been reportee.

Conversations over the phone on a PUBLIC PHONE are legit for broadcasting. All anyone has to do is request them.

98. Wow, Stopitalready. You ARE new, aren't you? Your phone conversations are not private, they tell you that when you check into jail and during every call there is a voice telling you that your conversation is being recorded. You can not have any expectation of privacy except with your lawyer, doctor or spiritual advisor. Phone calls are a matter of public record and the media made a request via the Freedom of Information Act and they were released. It's legal.

100. Stopitalready....these are not private calls nor do they fall under any confidentiality laws. They are public record and if the hogans are stupid enough to behave in this deplorable way they should get all the punishment they deserve. Since poor like baby nicky only got 8 months for basically killing another person maybe some public humiliation will serve as some sort of justice for John and his family...they are the ones that are paying the price not Nick or his family.

101. 16. I personally think it is disgusting to post private conversations two people have with each other on a gossip website. Some things really are NOT our business and what Nick and his family talk about in private is just that, Yes, I know the conversations are tapes as I am sure they do but they are not taped so the world can hear them. ...

The recordings of conversations between prisoners and their visitors are part of the public record, at least in many jurisdictions, and the press has the legal right to obtain them, just like they can obtain booking photos, court rulings, and other similar items.

I'm not sure, but I believe that this info was obtained by members of the media in Florida who promptly made them public. TMZ is just jumping on the bandwagon and re-reporting something which has already come out into the public eye.

102. So Hulk won't appear at the hearing because he believes the media will show up? DAMN RIGHT THEY WILL ... and I wouldn’t be surprised of some angry citizens, especially families of drunk driving victims, show up to give the Hogan's a piece of their mind too! What a self-centered egotistical ASS this family is! I recommend that anyone who is within the vicinity of these hearings SHOW UP at the courthouse steps, whether Hulk is there or not. This whole boo-hoo "I'm such a victim" Nick is disgustingly outrageous, and this Hogan family needs to get a grip on REALITY. Drinking and driving KILLS!!! Ask that marine lying in a hospital bed in a vegetative state, and he'll tell you the same thing. Oh, wait ... he can't tell us that ... Can he, Nick?

TMZ ~ by far the most fantastic scoop of all time. And a "scoop' that the public SHOULD know and NEED to be aware of, "celebrity" or not. This family of Hogan’s makes me sick to my stomach. Self centered, egotistical bunch of cry babies, having the hutzpah to pull God into some tragedy that Nick Hogan did all on his own.

I am ALL for unconditional love, and giving love and support to a child no matter how “grown: they may be during the worst of times. But NO ONE, especially victims and citizens against drunk driving should be made to be the bad guy here. This family of Hogan’s lost touch with reality a long time ago ~ WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD HOGANS!!!! What Nick did is an awful tragedy, but your family perpetuating this monstrosity into blaming the victim and the mother is UNFORGIVABLE.

A friend of our family was raped and murdered years ago when she was walking home after work (about 2 blocks away). That’s like blaming her, the victim, for her terrible suffering and fate just because she clocked out and was walking home, nevermind the monsters who did those horrible things to her. Sick sick sick sick.

103. 96, THERE IS NO EXPOECTATION OF PRIVACY ON A JAIL HOUSE PHONE.

No body is invading their privacy
and this has nothing to do with privacy
it has to do with that poor boy in the hospital bed
where he will be for the rest of his poor life

He is the VICTEM

The only VICTEM

We must all remember that!

104. My hemoroids are itchy...must have been in jail huh?????????Anyway I am not NEW just stating that it is getting really sad when the "media" gets these tapes rather than law enforcement that are to be monitoring them...that's all-----loss of privacy means law enforcement listens in, not the media or "general"public.

Posted at 4:32PM on May 24th 2008 by Stopitalready

105. Stopitalready, this maybe news to you but if you are in a public jail, you lose your rights. Your phone calls are taped. Your mail is read, and you can't have anything you want. If the Hogan family was so caught up in themselves to understand that all phone conversations are being taped, then it is their fault. They screwed up, and luckily allowed all of us a true view into the ugliness of their souls.

Let me say this again Stopitalready, in jail your phone calls are taped, your mail is read and searched, and you lose your basic rights.
