47. Hilary Clinton's remark about RFK was a generational thing. Every generation has certain "time markers" of public events. For instance, I remember exactly where I was when JFK was assassinated - I was a freshman in high school, and everybody around me was preoccupied with it for days. Likewise, I can still see the room I was in when I heard about Martin Luther King and RFK's assassinations a few years later. She remembered clearly that RFK was assassinated in June because it was one of those "time marker" events in her life, she probably remembers what kind of a day it was, what flowers were blooming, etc. - it was unmistakably a June day. So when someone questioned the idea of serious campaigning in June, that thought popped into her head as a clear counterpoint. No other meaning should be read into it. I don't think she should have apologized for it, just explained it.

49. Clinton was just citing instances where presidential campaigns ran into June, and gave a couple of examples. This was in reference to the fact that it should be no big deal that the current campaign is running into June .

Any suggestions that her historical observations had anything to do about Obama is nuts. Just another example of how the press lies and distorts. Actually, TMZ and the press are getting more and more alike every day.

Robert Kennedy Jr. said there was nothing wrong with what she said. So why is everyone else acting so WACKO?????

Perhaps not the best of choices to reference Bobby Kennedy but I truly believe that in no way did she mean any disrespect (even Robert Kennedy Jr) agrees. And she certainly wasn't making the comment to insinuate that Obama might be knocked off. Just another ploy to take her words and twist them to make her look bad.
