532. I also asked my husband about the " what if John should die" question ( he's an atty).

Here's the answer I got. The reson that Nick probably peaded no was to avaoid that. Then the charges would be different. This was he will nto be charged ( double jeopardy) if John dies. Having said that, he also told me it would impact the civil suit. As llong as John is on life support and in need of constant care, the case is worth ALOT more than a dead Marie ....VERY SAD.
The civil suit if John dies would be worth less because, he is no longer in need of thousands of dollars worth of care a month. Since he was young it would still be a large amount, but then he didn't have a family to support. I know many of you are yelling at the computer right now,and I agree. I often tell my husband I hate attys! It is the job of the Atty on the side of the Hogans to DENY>DELAY>DEFEND. This is NOT the area of law my husband practices.

I will adress Contrabutory Negligence as I asked him about that too...He sighted a case his friend had a few years back. A man went back into his home in attempts to put out a fire after his family was out. This was a rental home. He was burned in the process cause huge bills and loss of some motor skills. The jury assigned 20% of the responcibility to him for going back in thinking it was not a reasonably action and he should have known he could have gotten hurt. That means the judgement was off set by 20%. The verdit was 2 mil, meaning that the insurance company had to pay 80% 1.6 mil. Wish I was on that jury.

I also asked about the release of the tapes and he sighted the Kathy Mullins(sp) case in the early 80's in Ft. Lauderdale Fl. It was basically a cop and her husband who ran a small prostitution ring out of their Tamarac Home. The husband sat in the closet taping the acts. This case involved high ranking officials in the Fl area, so noone wanted those tapes released. Under the freedom of information act, they were available to anyone who wanted them and paid for them. The Mullin's wanted to sell the tape but after a few months, everyone had it.......

77. Don't worry about us in Germany. We have our own problems with immigration. After The Wall came down, the former West Germans accused us East Germans of taking their jobs away. But then, our German government doesn't even bother looking at anyone's identification. We're too racist against Turks to bother with real internal discrimination.

All I'm saying is that all of this vitriol against the Bollea/Hogan family is entirely justified. Nick is a pampered, spoiled brat who should have been convicted of second degree murder. Instead, all he got was 8 friggin' months? And then he bawls about how prison was smaller than his own bathroom? Waaaah. Where's the remorse? Where's the constant asking of forgiveness of what he's done? He's crying because of the living conditions, not that he's destroyed someone else's life.

Thank you, TMZ, for providing all of this. Prisoners have no expectation of privacy. If you're a prisoner, you gave up certain rights the moment you committed the crime. Should these conversations have been private? Private between law-abiding citizens, yes. But if one is a felon, then tough cookies.

78. Hannelore, First, don't lump us all together. There are a few hateful comments here, but mostly these are people concerned with justice vs "celebrity justice". Second, YOU are the one who would make a great Nazi. YOU are the one who is so taken in with these celebrities and powerful people that you are defending this action. You're like, "What's wrong here? What are you people looking at here? Nothing has happened here. There's nothing to see here. Move along."

Well we are Americans and we don't think like that. We DO see it. We see Nick's family trashing on the family of and the man who lies in a bed with a head wound that created a fate worse than death. And now Nicky boy wants to go back to the mansion so he can resume his carefree life. And to make money with his new reality show, "Nick Hogan Knows Better Now" or whatever lame name they give it. He wants to make as much money as he can, he said it.

Here's how it goes...First the letters and emails are received by an intern or even two, then if it is of merit of inflamitory, even many of the same content, it is given to an assistant or two of the person it was address to. By the time it gets to the producer, agent, network exec. they know it has been through many hands and is of importance. It WILL be looked at and the quantity will as well.

Before you start blasting me for spelling, typos etc and say no way just here works in the industry, I'm not putting my real name on anything, correct? If this was a letter going out to a client I would not only spell and grammer check but it would probably be typed by my asst.

The letters will get ATTN if they are in quantity. Try not to use the same letter, that will take away from it's validity. Change the verbage.

84. Hannelore: I'm an American living abroad, and I shudder every time a new "Reality Show" comes out of America. It almost always shows the worst in over-indulged and unrealistic people that we have to offer. It is the self-indulgent types that need these shows to make the money necessary to become the caricatures they want to be of themselves. It is called being a "Fame Whore". These types feel that any talk about them is better than no talk about them. They do whatever they have to, in order to keep their 15 minutes of fame lasting as long as they can. They ultimately fizzle out around the 10 minute mark.

I'm the first person to sympathize with people who make mistakes, but these Fame Whores are asking, even begging, for people to know everything about them; warts and all. To compair the way people talking about these people with Nazi ideology and the KGB mind-set is unfair. I doubt many who faced oppression and persecution by the Nazi's or the KGB wanted it, but these people do. It pays their bills. It also makes me mad that I have to explain to so many people that not all Americans are given a new $100,000 car when they turn 16, don't act like twits when they dont' get their way, or get away with murder...or attempted murder.

I, for one, do not admire or resent these people for being rich. I pity them for being stupid.

87. I'm glad they caught on to what is happening. It is INSANE that these tapes are being released. I would expect more class from Harvey Levin~ I guess I was wrong.

Look, they are idiots. No doubt about that. But, putting their phone calls on TMZ is completely WRONG. And the Pinellas County Prison people who released this should be fired.

Yes, inmates are told that their calls MAY be recorded... NOT that they WILL BE recorded and sold to TMZ.

89. Let me educated you on "reality TV"....

First, they do not tape 24/7, there is a set day or days of the week. Cameras are placed in the home, but only used on filming days. The mobile carera crew show up on certain sdays ( I'll site the Osbournes, on Tuesdays and a few special occasions, different days) pre-set and they tape on those days. You get what you're going to get and the best makes it off the editing floor. That's what you see on TV. That's the reality. It's more of a poorly unscripted sitcom, that people take as reality.
