31. Both David's are great. I do think that Jeff A. ruined things for David A, and it's not going to make anyone want to work with the wonderfully talented boy and singer that he is as long as his father is around. Remember Brook Shield's mother and look at the Lohan and Spears mothers, the kids would be better off WITHOUT them.

32. I think Jeff Archuleta is a very nice man. I think he actually came across as very calm and nice. Liked the laugh wrinkles around his eyes! On the show he looked tense and maybe came off as "strict" or something but I think that was just because he was nervous and worried for/about his son like any decent partent would be in a situation like that.

It's already been clarified by various sources that the producers were well aware of the lyric changed and even encouraged it, so it's neither Jeff's nor Dave's fault. Maybe TMZ should rather look into why the producers encouraged the change only to moan about it later? Oh wait, that would require decent investigative journalism, so I guess that won't happen. Too bad.

Interesting how TMZ only days prior declared that David Archuleta would never be heard of again only to hunt HIM down (instead of Idol-winner Cook) at the airport...

34. He cost his son the award. There was no way Cook was more talented that Archeleta. There were at least six people there that had more talent than Cook.. David's dad pissed off the higher ups at American Idol and that spelled doomsday for his son. Too bad these things are not judged on talent but rather who can speed dial so many times it runs up the votes. Very pathetic!

37. Jeff is obviously a good parent. Look how gracious and poised David was in losing to Cook. He's only 17 and he showed maturity well beyond his years. I'm sure Jeff's influence as a parent has aided in helping David become the fine person that he is today. David has gone on record saying that he didn't understand what the stir was about because his dad is a really good person. He certainly seems that way. There's no personal quotes or footage of Jeff acting haywire to suggest otherwise. Just all hearsay.

38. Another thing, look at how happy David appears to be. He has a smile permanently plastered on his face, on and off camera. Jeff must be doing something right as a parent.

40. The so called "BIG BUCKS' that they lost is nothing compared to the 'BIG BUKS' they've made off all the contestants over the years. The amount of money that they've had to pay are like pennies compared to the amount of money they've made. They've made millions upon millions and had the nerve to complain and let the media know about their dis-satisfaction in the mist of a contest where public opion mattered. It appears they want to keep every penny that they squeeze out of these kids.

42. ok, that was a little disturbing....the interviewer wouldn't leave jeff archuleta alone...and if i was jeff, i would have been p.o'ed....chasing him down asking the same stupid questions, and then having the audacity to ask jeff if he was the reason david a lost....that's below the belt...don't know if tmz is credible anymore, you're nothing but unprofessional paparazzi to me.

43. Does anyone remember Gary Coleman. He let his parents run his acting business and look what happened to him. His parents stole all of his money and no he has to work as a former child star guest starring in stupid sitcoms and movies, trying to build his rep back again and maybe don't starve to death. 44. Cook is not better,he is different. The Cookie fans seem to have a one track mind all the time. The their way or no way. If nobody is like Cook is not talented. Geez, people. If you think he is going to date any of you or you are living a fantasy being with a loud (but yes very talented rocker), get over it. There are many of us, who are not interested in that style of music anymore. People grow up you are only showing your limited talent and taste of music. Stop saying Cook is better than Archuleta. They are both talented. Time to move on and get a real life now. Go buy his CD when it comes out and keep your doors shut, your neighbors might be calling the cops for LOUD music. I personally prefer David Archuelta. Not there is anything wrong with Cook's talent, but he is not the first rocker out there. I hope he succeeds in the long run. Why can't you accept the fact that both David's have their own style and they both deserve to be in the top 2. End of story. MOVE ON people. Stop being so freaking arrogant. He is only one artist for god sakes. There is plenty of where that came from. Now he is also limited to AI contracts. Personally, I am thrilled that Archuleta did not win (and I am one of those 40+ year old fans). He has more choices and his beautiful voice will last a long time. Hey not everybody buys Elton John and Celine Dion records, but they are just as amazing as the Rolling Stones.Better yet, why not go out there and get a real talent and education, please.

45. This is America folks everybody uses everybody else to make a buck. That is what America calls business. We live in a very greety society. Jeff Archuleta did not cost his son the title, because David added two WORDS in the English language to his song. I was not aware that words from the dictionary such as beautiful girls belong to one artist in the world. GEEEEEEEEZ. Before you know it that artist might take credit for David ARchuleta's singing too and his becautiful voice. Weird people. Leave the young man alone. He is awesome so get over it and his family is by him 100%. Wish you had parents that were there for you to encourage your talents. Cook's whole family took over the stage when he won. Why is that better. David Archuleta is a minor and the terms were that he had to have his dad there at all times. The man happened to be a musician and was entitled to give him suggestions not only as a parent but as a musician. Didn't your parents ever suggest things to you? If not, then I feel sorry for you, they probably don't care about you. Jordin Sparks' mother has been with her 24/7 and she is no talent, Taylor Swift at 18, her mother has been part of her whole singing career since she was 16, and she is no musician. The Jonas Brothers and needless to say, Miley Cirus at 15, her dad makes all her decisions and she is very successful. Stop talking about people you know nothing about. And please go figure out your lives first before you try to control other people's lives including David Archuleta's.
