John, immigrate vs. emigrate. Emigrate does NOT just mean moving within your country. It means you leave that country. They emigrated FROM Russia. They immigrated TO America.

uh...number 9....when you immigrate you are coming into the country in question...to emigrate is to leave the country in question....hence....my parents emigrated from the Ukraine and they immigrated to the US. One does not emigrate in ones own country!!! meanwhile she looks good for 55....but crest whitening strips would maybe help a bit!
