Shia LaBeouf Eats It

He starred in a flick that raked in $311 million globally last weekend -- but Shia LaBeouf must be getting screwed in the back end -- you'll pardon the expression. Why else would he be eating at a diner in the Valley?

16. Because he's not like every other snobby celebrity who can only be seen in Hollywood hot spots.

18. Who gives a rats poootie. Do all stars have to eat at Chang's or whereever the stars hang out and get the papparazzi in their faces. He's a normal person who just so happens to have a job being an actor on the screen.. Does this mean he's not ALLOWED to eat at Diners anymore. Does he necessary have to eat at places where you have to have a black Amex card just to get in. Give me a break. Leave him the hell alone.

26. Valley bashing has been the norm far too long. It seems more and more certain celebs are taking some type of liking to it however. Why not, it's really just a normal place to live, which makes it seem less attractive to certain elements of Hollywood and Bev Hills. Certain parts of the valley are actually nice and for anyone considering the move to L.A., you can find cheaper housing there and you're still just a ten minute drive across Cold Water or Laurel into Hollywood or Bev Hills. Of course you'll have to give up perpetual snobbery and a desire for constant reassurances that you are one of the beautiful people but that's the way it goes.

I used to live in the Hollywood Hills and I always kinda thought that Studio City was okay just because it seemed really laid back and wasn't into the the whole "L.A. scene." Yet, it's still L.A.. Hey it worked for Carol and Mike Brady. I had always wondered what the hell part of L.A. the Bradys were supposed to be in since they always seemed clueless as to the whole L.A. norm. I finally found out years later....yep, a tiny quite street in the corner of the "ilk" that is the 818.

But back the the issue of good eats for A-List celebs. In L.A., many celebs hang out at absolute dives. Patrick's Roadhouse off the PCH is a fave to many many celebs despite the fact that it looks like it's ready to collapse at any moment (I highly recommend the Coconut Cream Pie). At one time there used to be an old ragged coffee shop in a Best Western on the East end (a.k.a. the po' side of town) of either Hollywood or Sunset. It was always full of celebs, especially in the wee hours of the morning when they were coming off sets in the valley after late night shooting. Dogs at Pink's...'nuff said. If you ever live in L.A. at some point you'll find yourself in Jerry's Famous Deli. It's a touch of back East eats with a dash of SoCal provincialism tossed in but the food is great and they stay open late. There are at least two that I know of. One in the WeHo/Bev Hills area and one on Ventura in Studio City. Somehow, Brittany Spears always shows up at the one in the Valley....she's always in the valley. I'm just waiting for the new accent to emerge....."the Valley is like way cool.....like, fer sure......" Hey, the 2.5 million people that live there can't all be wrong. Of course you can always go to the Ivy on robertson and pay $60 for a salad that is wilted. the Ivy is for photo ops, but ask anyone including celebs about the food and they'll tell you....it suuuuucccccccckkkkkkks! But on the bright side, it is overpriced.

Hey Hollywood, here is a freebie....... SEE THE REMAKE OF........VALLEY GIRL! Starring Brittany Spears and Shia LaBeouf. Well, he'd either reinvigorate her career....or she'd sink him like a brick off the end of the Santa Monica Pier.

27. Because most dive greasy spoon diners are the most enjoyable places to eat at. Just cause you have money doesn't mean you need to flaunt it or be snobby with your food choices.

He's keepin it real instead of being some stupid, oily, ignorant, racist snob.......damn, he's hot! CCHHOOWWWW!!!!!

29. TMZ slams celebs for going to the Ivy and being needy for attention, but Shia goes to a regular diner for some good food and to get away from the repulsive pap trolls and he's slammed. Go eff yourself TMZ.

30. M y previous post made me take a quick nostalgia romp into the era of the "Valley Girl." I wikied it and the review of the phenomenon is quite intriguing in the context we are discussing.

"Valley girls " therein is described as such.

"During the 1980s and the 1990s, the term metamorphosed into a caricature and stereotype of such women: a "ditzy" or "airhead" personality, and unapologetically "spoiled" behavior that showed more interest in shopping, personal appearance, and social status, rather than in intellectual development or personal accomplishment.

The prototypical Valley Girl is a white blonde (not necessarily natural), but the "Val" has evolved along with demographic changes, with the term applying to all such girls and women, regardless of their race. The typical Valley Girl is considered glamorous and sexually promiscuous."

[END Wikipedia]

To me it seems, that those who now bash the Valley.....are the direct descendants of the valley of the early 80s. Can we call the new breed......"Ho' Girls"? You know, like in Hollywood Girls.....or something like that.
