Brit Back on the Box

Britney SpearsTMZ has learned Britney Spears took a meeting yesterday with a big-time producer and may be headed to the small screen in a starring role.

Sources say Britney and her team met with Roy Bank, President of Merv Griffin Entertainment, and discussed several TV projects in which Brit would star and possibly produce. We're told one of the projects is a music show.

Makes sense to pair Brit up with Bank -- they're both repped by the William Morris Agency, which packages tons of TV shows. It was, we're told, a "serious" meeting.

The ball is now in her court, but she's definitely interested in the whole TV thing.

36. I thought she was great in crossroads the movie she did along time ago !!! Getting her into this how will be good for her almost like therapy cause it will give her something to look forward too plus meet other people & hopefully they will be sober people !!! People just can not stand for Brit to be happy, She was on the TV show mickey mouse club acting and singing, I think she can do both, She is not crazy, she just had a few problems and now seems to have it under control, I think Sam was a big part of her problem. You go Brit I hope the best for you and your kids.

38. She made great ratings on that sitcom because of the curiosity factor. I’m sure it would be the same scenario if she stars in her own show. She isn’t very talented as a singer or an actor and I’m sure it would fizzle out.

At the very least, Brit had a major breakdown...but instead of getting her the much needed rest she needed, dad has had her out working and in front of the paps pretty much every day since her release from hospital. I can't believe a Court would allow a conservatorship to continue when the conservator is clearly forcing an ill woman to perform under incredible pressure in the public eye day after day....he's also paying himself more than her. Her father is disgusting and will be back in his drunken ditch in no time, and I hope Brit doesn't help him out hte next time...he's a freeloading loser.

41. Brits a complete idiot.... Why doesn't she focus first and foremost on getting her kids life stable before you make any other moves. She has to be the most overrated star in this generation. Honeslty people!! Can she really carry a tone at all?? I have never hear her sing without a backup track of somekind. She is talentless!!

42. Oh GAG! More crap to feed the tremendous ego of this talentless IDIOT! She did a horrendous acting job on that one show and her only real talent is that of a circus oddity. She isan't even able to dress, feed, bathe, and even make her own legal decisions,not to mention needing people to protect her kids and even herself from herself! But I guess in a twisted world where people like Flava Flav and the Bolleas manage to get shows, some people enjoy a good freak show! I for one, don't!

43. Since hollywood is having trouble finding TRUE actors, I'm NOT having trouble NOT spending my hard earned cash on bull s$#t. There are enough talented ACTORS to fill the rolls that are being given to these lip-(can't even sing) synchers, pseudo models and the like. 45. I think the Spears marketing Machine should tap some new areas! I would love to see her tour some new places! Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, China, Colombia, Bosnia/Serbia, Sierra Leone, friendly places like that!
