Britney SpearsTMZ has learned Britney Spears took a meeting yesterday with a big-time producer and may be headed to the small screen in a starring role.

Sources say Britney and her team met with Roy Bank, President of Merv Griffin Entertainment, and discussed several TV projects in which Brit would star and possibly produce. We're told one of the projects is a music show.

Makes sense to pair Brit up with Bank -- they're both repped by the William Morris Agency, which packages tons of TV shows. It was, we're told, a "serious" meeting.

The ball is now in her court, but she's definitely interested in the whole TV thing.

49. Brit brit did a wonderful job in Cross Roads. Not only did she act in that movie, but she also produced some of it. I loved the movie & I think the cridects gave t a bad rep b/ cit didn't have raw sex scenes or killing in it. The movie was for young girls & they couldn't stand to give her a compliment. They also want to be so negative. It's funny (& about time) they give her a break since has been diganosied & before that they were ripping her a new one. Every since they have layed off her back she's done so much better. Good job & good luck Brittany. You will do great in anything thing that you do. Remember your roots, trust in God & put your family first & you'll be just fine.

52. Oh man! I seriously hope that the c-ship is voided! That way she can get back to her true skills. Endless driving (into things and people and getting lost) in search of drugs and photo ops, drug overdoses, hanging with douchebag friends/drug dealers, playing cops 'n hostages, blowing paps in bathroom stalls, Rite Aid runs for pregnancy tests and Correctol bon bons, losing her kids and her mind fully, dressing and acting like a cheap prostitute, umbrella beatings and head shaving, strapped in gurney races to psyche wards, screaming rants at strangers and paps, eating chitty fat laden foods, getting backwards and stupid /pointless tattoos, and generally showing us that she is completely insane without any common sense or morals whatsoever!
