63. Thank you for posting something on Kirk Douglas although your article and picture are to be desired (those are red socks...). He and his wife have given MILLIONS of dollars to buy playground equipment/playgrounds for children. I am glad to see this brought to light. His was a gifted actor and a humanitarian.

70. You people that are making the hateful comments need to buy Mr. Douglas book The Ragman's Son and read about his life (that is if any of you can read or just need to look at pictures). He had a very hard, long and productive life and was a brilliant actor.

It is sad that he didn't age very well but the fact that he is still active says a lot about how he lived his life and how he is still living his life. Maybe some of you need to get off the computer and go try to make something of yourselves. You will never compare to him, I feel pretty certain about that.

71. Get a clue people. Obviously you have no idea what he has accomplished in his lifetime and only judge him because of his age. WELL, he deserves to wear whatever he wants, he has earned that right. He is a legen and loved his movies. What he has done for children and able to give them a safe playground is something that all you mean people would never do. I bet when you were willing to bash him because he was old, didn't even know that he is one of the rarest hollywood celebrities that gives and gives and you wouldn't even know it.
