Kitson to Monaco: Let's Get Ready to Rumba

So maybe you thought that ol' Kelly Monaco dropped major coin for the dress she wore on at last week's "Dancing With the Stars" finale. Turns out, it's actually trendy Robertson shopping enclave Kitson that'll be paying the price.

Like most stores in L.A., Kitson loans out clothes to freeloader celebs as long as they come back damage-free within 48 hours. We hear the disco diva's peeps arrived at the store in a panic five hours before the finale, desperate to find something for her to wear. Per their agreement, the store loaded them up with $6,500 worth of free dresses.

Little problem: TMZ has learned that her manager returned most -- but not all -- of the clothing a week late, and not only that, the dresses were "completely ruined." Apparently Kel wore another one of the dresses to party it up on her birthday in Vegas. Kitson says the dresses are "filthy and definitely not in sellable condition." Furthermore, they claim Monaco's people have refused to pay for the damaged dresses.

A rep for Kelly did not return our call for comment.

34. I think that it is really rude for so many of you to judge before you know the actual story. All you have here is one side, probably dramatized in order to increase attention of the story. Don't you realize that many of these stories are blown way out of proportion so that more and more people will talk about it. When did it become more important to care about what the celebrities are wearing instead of what our Presidential Candidate's platforms are? Before you get on here and start to judge someone for something that may not be true, log on to a local news source and read about how you can spend your time helping local organizations or campaigning for change instead of just wallowing in this pop culture crap! It is important to remember that everyone in this industry has an angle, and that is to increase their profits, so they run trash stories like this, which inrapture so many of us. Its time to put down (and log off) magazines and tabloids like these that prey on celebrities (who as shocking as it may be, are actually human beings too). I know that celebrities agree to live in the limelight, but our society has lost sight of the truly important things in life. I know that I am spending time looking on a celebrity cite, but I am also aware that there is a major election taking place this year and I do know each of the political platforms for the candidates. All I ask is that you think before you speak and start to think about how much time our lives are consumed looking at others and judging.

35. Kitson is nothing but an overrated tourist trap full of cheap, low quality clothes and tons of tourists staring at everyone trying to decide if you are famous or not. It's just an over priced Forever 21 with the rudest salespeople on the planet. Most of the celeb's who are photographed walking out of that place with bags full of clothes don't pay one dime for them.

37. This is a surprise to anybody? Hollywood often loans dresses to celebrity for events at no coast -- it's called free publicity. You think the actors and actresses actually buy the outfits and jewelry they wear to Emmy awards and the like? It's all on loan so the designers can get publicity when the star is asked, "Who are you wearing?"

Thousands of actors and actresses return those dresses on time, undamaged every year. This is part of the business. So for any actor/actress to return it soiled (and from the pictures on the other articles it looks like makeup stains to me), torn, scuffed, missing beads, pulled, etc., is a sign of pure neglect. Look, accidents happen, but returning thousands of dollars worth of dresses a week late, damaged, and keeping some of the dresses period is no accident. It's a CHOICE and a DECISION and it was obviously a wrong one.

I've been reading the comments left about how the dresses are obviously "poorly made" or "cheap" or else they wouldn't fall apart during wear. Designer dresses are often made of more delicate material and do require some care during wear, and like I said above, accidents happen. But we're obviously not talking one dress and one instance. We're talking multiple dresses. Kitson should go after the cost of the dresses that weren't return, scratch the ones that were damaged, and make a mental note (as should all the other designers who make this their practice) to never to let her borrow their dresses ever again.

But then anyone who has followed Monaco's reputation when it comes to money, events, and deals knows this is nothing new.

Designer beware.

38. This just proves what I already thought about KeMo. She is a low rent piece ot traah. I would not expect this from an actress who has won Oscars, much less from a D lister whose biggest claim to fame is her Playboy soft porn films. Maybe KeMo needs to hit Hef up for a loan. I am sure his Viagra riddled body would not mind whatever payment terms she could come up with.

39. Kemo just needs to effing pay up. She borrowed the clothes, and regardless of whether they are poorly made, she agreed to the terms they made for her. But she up and returns them all skanky and filthy, then doesn't return all of them. WTF? Who does this soft porn twit think she is? She acts like some flipping diva, when she's a bottom feeder to begin with. Couldn't get in on her acting ability, so had to show her hoochie to hef and the world to get any offers, and now she's stinking up GH. Wish the lazy, filthy, skanky, self admitted alcoholic/but I'm still gonna get pics taken with drinks in my hand, twit would just disappear.

Pay up Kemo, you made an agreement, now stick to it.
